On AI:
As a frustrated indie dev, current AI is really close to custom art replication. Basically, I loosely sketch a "original" character, and then upload a animation spritesheet reference from another game, mix the two and get a usable, consistent asset without burning thousands of dollars.
That might get me to dust off the game engines again.
On Synth doomerism:
I don't remember if he pays rent to his mom? He probably doesn't. If he's smart, he should probably have a nice chunk of change saved up already.
Since his income is 100% online, he could geomaxx if he wanted to. Or at the very least spend a few months/year as a digital nomad.

Yes, I listened to bunch American Krogan review. I'm most impressed with his rdr2 review. AK puts many research of real life history to prove all his criticism in a constructive and convincing manner. Synth just do a lazy Wikipedia search or 4chan meme post. The attitude of approaches towards review (story and wokeness propaganda part) I would say AK is way better than synth. Synth is funnier, but AK is more educational.
AK's video on BioShock was an eye opener. The majority of what he pointed out I didn't catch at all. Granted it's been many years since I've played them, but still. Good stuff.
This is how it is with me as well. I never really feel like I’m on the same wavelength with other people. And I know that sounds like major auts, but normie conversations hold no interest for me and are even frustrating a lot of the time. There’s also when you want to explain something you understand to someone, but you can’t explain it in a different way than you know how so it just causes confusion. Or people will think you’re a weirdo because you do things differently. Like if you choose not to eat goyslop, people will wonder “why isn’t he eating the goyslop?” But how am I supposed to explain why I don’t eat a certain thing in a single conversation when it took years to become knowledgeable about it? How do you explain why you refuse to eat the bread because it contains seed oils? “What the hell are seed oils?” they might think.
I genuinely only want to have meaningful conversations in real life, but no one ever wants to talk about anything other than the goyslop they consume. There has maybe been one person in recent memory who I was genuinely interested in for conversation, and he was an old guy. Anyway I don’t wanna go too doomer, but this post is something I know personally.
But this is exactly what i was talking about. You have given up the race before it's started. People aren't gonna share their inner thoughts or politics with you the first conversation you have. Life is not a jrpg. Most people at work are like onions you have to get past their shields of goyslop and bands before you get to the real person. Before they trust you and are willing to share the real person with you. Once you get past those first layers you will learn that there are a lot of people who think like you but can't share it with the world or face persecution.

If you combine the lengths of Hbomberguy's long ass response video to Matthew, Mauler's 12 or so long ass response videos to Hbomb, and the 6 million videos made by Domo3000 in response to Mauler and Matthew, that's probably 100+ hours of sperging altogether. I can only imagine how many hours idiots would end up wasting responding to Synth if he did a video.
My original reply was to a different person and if I understand well he ment that using AI is hypocritical if you complain about slop.... I want to believe good creators will rise above and AI will enable people to make passion projects with less time and money investment.
It's more than hypocrisy, that's a component of it that I don't really care about. Moreso, it's antithetical to the necessarily human nature of artistic expression. Art isn't just about the form and the likeness of men and objects, it's about the transmission of emotion from one human to another. If AI can be used in such a way so as to comprehensively encapsulate the human experience, then I will accept it. This flaccid, Ghibli AI garbage as it stands is worse than any thumb of Synth, any MS paint collage, literally anything would be better then what has been trending among Synthcel fan channels. Taking an original asset and having AI animate that would be an acceptable usage in my eyes, as another user mentioned.

I don't really understand how anyone could pretend to care about the "art is so great because it's human expression" crap if they aren't even an artist. I can understand the faggots who complain about "kitsch" because they believe they would be lying to themselves or something like that if they made "kitsch", or even just because they're elitist mongrels, but most of them have just been told that art is about human expression even though they probably couldn't begin to imagine what the showrunners of their favorite Fallout TV show (or what have you) were trying to express. Even if they did know, would they like it? Should they value it as human expression even though what is expressed is loathsome? And should they try to reconcile this belief with the idea that the art must be separated from the artist? Of course the fact is that most good artists are lowly people obsessed with lowly things (there's a reason why for example Van Gogh cut his ear off), but at least they had the virtue to perfect their craft. Much lower than them are the AI "artists" who always wanted to be artists, but simply lacked the gumption to improve, and on that same level are the self-assured retards who call themselves artists even though their work is of low quality. At least Shadiversity had enough sense to realize that his art was bad.
Of course the worst of all are the ghoulish greed-monsters who want to peddle slop to people for a quick buck, at least bad artists see real value in their own works.

I don't disagree that picking the values of Christianity (not the modern Jewish variant) can help you improve your life, but if we are being realistic here, he would have to change on many parts of his person before truly committing to any belief system. Maybe I'm just not active in the circles you frequent, but when someone says something along the lines of "he needs Jesus", they mean that he needs to turn his life around, and that Jesus will help him do that. To be clear, nobody should ever feign religion because they think it will be useful for them, they'll only be more damned because they thought they should use God as a tool for their own ends, but let's not pretend that it's difficult to realize that actually we ought to love God and keep His commandments, which of course includes organized religion. There's even some "skill" involved in getting the AI prompt exactly as you want it. You need to word things correctly. Sometimes I can tell if someone has written something lazily or given the AI a well-thought-out prompt given what the result is.
