So it's not glamorous work, it's physically demanding and often dirty or too hot or too cold. Little kids don't dream "When I grow up, I want to work in a factory." But at the same time, a lot of people will do the work that's required willingly and without too much complaint if the pay is decent, there are safety measures, and they get a few benefits, particularly if there's a deficit of good jobs in the area. They're not going to say that in an internet poll though, they're going to talk about their dreams, not reality.
All those 'Urban' yoots dead over crack corners, because there's no place for an 80 IQ kid being 'raised' by grandma.

I think you said you work in a factory, right? And I've worked in a couple of different factories in my lifetime and even ran a small one for a little while. Neither of the factories I worked in were bad places to work, we got breaks, we could go to the bathroom or get a drink of water when we needed to, and we even got limited benefits like sick days and vacation.

In my experience, nobody really wanted to work there. They wanted the paycheck, and the work was within their skill set. Everybody there still wished they had a better job. Nobody wanted to make a lateral move, from the factory to fast food or retail sales, but they still all dreamed of getting out of there and getting a high-paid desk job or starting their own businesses. They were content enough with their work and conditions, but they all wanted more. The smarter ones worried what would happen when they were too old or physically unfit to do the job any more.

As someone touched by the tism my self, I prefer the term Asperges Syndrome than High Functioning ASD anyway. The change in terminology reminds be of the George Carlin bit about soft language and the change from shellshock to PTSD and how we have been moving away from direct and blunt terms to more clinical language that doesn't have much meaning.

Carlin is cancer incarnate. He is the proto redditor. Completely detached but full of zeal to shit all over everything. I would pay good money to see him and Bill Hicks ressurected and have Bill Hicks smash his faggy face in with a hammer. If Carlin was still alive he'd be sayin "just call them Xir, what's the big deal you call it a 'venti' instead of a small you jackass!" To a roar of retards clapping.

Your absolutely right, but I find him funny and I am glade he died when he did.

The third world's growing access to the internet has made discussion so diluted with retardation on major sites. When I was in southeast Asia I saw every person who lived in a literal mud hut also have a Chinese smartphone and they were doom scrolling on tik tok or some other app.

If you see anyone with poor grammer advocating for China I guarantee you're either talking to an indoctrinated child, a government bot, or an oriental hillbilly.
ive been calling this out for a while, X is absolutely full of third world "humans" who are literally like bugs. They cannot think or act beyond their immediate surroundings.

X has singlehandedly led to me to conclude that there needs to be a Western Internet where the civilized people are and a Third World internet where the subhumans can play

a interesting question is who could the dems have run to have a chance to beat trump? shapiro? gavin?
I'm personally of the opinion that they were toast in November no matter what. Between Biden shitting himself in a venue where the media couldn't claim any clips of him before hand were carefully doctored by right wing conspiracy theorists, Trump taking a bullet, and the terrible economic and immigration policy on top of it, they had lost the swing voters they needed. Nobody's individual positives would outweigh that.
The mistakes that eventually cost them 2024 started way before that debate. Not punting on 2020 was the mistake IMO. No matter who was in charge, the next president was going to be stuck holding the bag when the COVID bill came due. But whether it was due to the voting public really wanting to stop the media from broadcasting End of the Republic shit to them 24/7 by nominating the folksy grandpa nobody really had a problem with as president (and the leadership concerned about too visibly backchanneling after 2016 and Bernie), or democrat-controlled swing states having a unique level of TDS and performing late night ballot dumps for the entire rest of election week in 2020, they wound up with a guy not entirely there in office. And instead of senior leadership really weighing on his staffers, they let them isolate and carefully manage him, which built this culture of unaccountability and leadership by committee that caused disaster after disaster that would weigh them down in 2024.
tl&dr; whoever had to govern after the pandemic was playing with a handicap already, and because the guy who was supposed to be in charge wasn't, really, the party acted like kids looting the cookie jar after mom passed out drunk on the couch with the COVID stimmy and then the Inflation Reduction Act, and then mom started puking in the bathroom when the kids had knocked over the jar and needed her to help them glue it back together.

If you were mad at a colleague for multiple decades in governance (Pelosi) pulling a Brutus live on Morning Joe and giving everyone tacit approval to knife you the requisite 23 times, because some donors were getting spooked, and it was all at the word of that mulatto shithead you spent years taking heat for who STILL didn't back you in 2016 OR 2020, and then, on top of it, they force the nice young lady you picked to put a relatable face on your campaign and carry on your legacy to distance herself from you, wouldn't you be gleeful when they get shit on?
Joe is also obsessed with attention, even moreso than a standard politician. Like the only time he and Harris ever came to any kind of conflict in the text is over him endorsing her in his withdrawal speech, because he wanted to hold off until the following week to endorse her so he could be the top headline over the weekend. She had to remind him "Joe if I'm not in your speech Obama is going to get his way and have his open primary instead of me being able to smoothly step up", and THEN he agreed to endorse her faster, in a separate speech, the afternoon after the morning he signed the letter.

(side note: I forgot to mention it, but I do totally believe Harris genuinely likes Biden, or at least feels extremely indebted to him, it's not the writers trying to whitewash her reputation. There were many times where her staffers were begging her to drop him, it was the politically advantageous thing to do, and the authors are actually criticizing her for not doing it, it's practically the only thing they do criticize, but she doesn't)
All this stuff is so exhausting to read and so Machiavellian it's unreal.
>You should drop this person because it will look good, appeal to this voter base, this family has been ostracized, don't endorse him too soon or it will result in a closed primary, that family doesn't want to talk to this person and these other factions within our party will get their way so hold off one week which will cause this person who didn't endorse use 4 years ago to drop out and that will blah blah blah

Holy. Fucking. Shit.

Constant obsession with how the public will interpret things and no time spent telling the public what you're going to do.

On the other hand trump: "This is whats fucked and this is what i'm going to do. Oh what's that? You called me a fascist 8 years ago but now you agree with me? Welcome aboard let's get shit done".

I've always thought this on election nights. There's constant talk about the map, and the blue wall, and these votes coming in from here or there or whatever. Like the focus so much on the strategy they forget to just play the damn game. People don't vote for who ran the better campaign or had the better strategy they vote for who they want to fuckin win. Maybe there's something about that i don't get but it seems retarded to me.

Joe Manchin would be a strong contender, but IIRC he has stated he isn't interested.

Maybe Michelle Obama would have a chance also, especially if she had a good running mate. (Manchin?) Putting aside the trans allegations, the Obama name still has a somewhat positive connotation to many normies and she can play the Obama card, the black card, and the (alleged) woman card.

The system has been weird since the update, I wouldn't be mad at him tbh
I've noticed that, after posting, XenForo keeps the draft, like I didn't just post it. It also sends posts through twice or thrice. Whether or not someone's mentioned it already, I'll point it out in the themes thread.
Does spellcheck work for naughty words?
Usually you need to use the word several times and sometimes even manually save it for it to become a spellcheck option.
Apparently it does. If you use unusual words (like a foreign name) long enough, the phone takes it as part of its autocorrect until you turn those settings off.

My posts are staying in my reply box after I hit post (and I even get a new copy when I edit a post as well) since the update. He might have posted it, then seen it still in his reply box and thought he forgot to hit Post Reply so he hit it again

Edit: as an example, this post stayed

Obama burnt a lot of his political capital and good will helping Joe. His name means as much as Clinton's now.

I've been suffering from that bug for months. If I start to type something and decide not to post it stays in the reply box forever no matter how many time the page is refreshed after deleting it. The only fix I've found is to delete it all out, click the Post Reply button and then get the error about posting a blank message. Then it doesn't come back

That's why I went out of my way to viciously attack them when the thread was created. What they do is a form of "concern trolling". Concern trolling is a very effective way to demoralize a group of people. Having "allies" show worry and concern makes people feel worried or concerned too; consensus is part of assessing optimism and success.

Concern trolling works so well because it seems indistinguishable from real concerns by actual allies. One way to deal with it is to mock their feigned concern (e.g. "Bad things might happen! Ignore anything good ever happening! Bad person did something good—still bad! Small good thing done—bad, didn't fix the whole problem!"). You can run down the flowchart of possible futures; which often reveals they think a positive outcome is impossible. You can ask them for realistic solutions and fallback plans. You can just bluntly tell them they are being a whiny faggot (depending on the group and context).

Concern trolling is one of the main ways 4chan has been destroyed by shills and bots. Endless infighting about how nothing will ever get better. 4chan's culture of being contrarian makes concern trolling easier. The site owner faciliting the concern trolling dooms 4chan to being a demoralization tarpit.

Authentic negative criticism has remedies, alternatives, fallbacks, and personal preferences. Concern trolls avoid seeing anything positive like a vampire avoids a cross.
Same problem on X, esp alt right on there, most notably Owens and Ian Carroll

trump is a jew, epsteins list isnt out yet, RFK jr is being blackmailed by israel so MAHA wont happen and she'll show evidence eventually

the groyper/owens right is dedicated to proving that nothing ever happens and everything is a jewish psyop

Good point, I forgot about the Joe (and Kamala) campaigning.

I still think Manchin would hypothetically be their best shot since he actually knows how to win over red and centrist voters, and mostly stayed away from the whole Biden/Kamala dumpster fire.
