ESPECIALLY if the request involves recreating physical features of a specific child, whose photos could be found on facebook?

The shota line for Danbooru (the website where Westerners repost art, usually by Japanese artists) shows almost zero growth, whereas the shota line for Pixiv (mainly used by Japanese to upload their own art) shows substantially more interest. Does that mean that Westerners are not interested in perusing Shota and reposting it to Danbooru, therefore it is mostly Japanese who express interest in shota? Why are the Japanese much more interested in shota? Is it Japanese women (why?), or gay Japanese male artists (why)?

Its not that the CP traders are dumb, its that its basically impossible to distribute CP at that scale without being caught eventually. Crime doesnt have a retirement plan. regarding the chart, I'm wondering, what's with the sudden boom of lolicon between 2020-2021? Because I noticed this... Back then it became really mainstream all of a sudden and it became way more widespread (and it became even worse with Shigure UI's autistic "Loli God Requiem" song)

I just remember that back in 2020-2023, there were so many lolicons all at once and saying that even feels like an understatement - It was a lot more obscured before late 2019 and was kept low (in contrast to now)

Lolicon wasn't obscured or underground before late 2019. Digibro was extremely vocal about being a lolicon for over a decade before the Dick Show incident, and nobody cared. ThatAnimeSnob had gone by roriconfan for many years before that name got a bad reputation (not because of pedophilia, but because of forum bans!). It was also a thing in mainstream anime even back to 1986 with ZZ Gundam and Project A-Ko! If there are more lolicons now than before, it's because anime got really popular over 2020, and both the material and the communities encouraged interest in lolicon. There are multiple vectors behind this push -- on the one hand corporations were trying to get adults into more geeky hobbies now that the MCU was passe (Netflix Evangelion dub, celebrities talking about anime, 18+ Lego sets launched in March 2020, Playmobil and Little People figurines based on nostalgic properties coming out), and it all caught on because it overlapped with the pandemic. On the other hand, Mindgeek, in perpetual search of more profit, had identified weebs as a potential market for porn site traffic as early as 2015, and they began working with Japanese porn companies like DMM (who also began sponsoring anime around this time to drive clicks to their website, which blurs the line between porn and not-porn) to spread hentai (and thereby porn site traffic) everywhere with things like Nutaku. This lines up with the rise of ironic weebs (cropped hentai avatars, "anime is trash and so am I", that kind of thing), which helps normalize degenerate behaviour as a quirky personality trait/joke -- this is a strategy that Mindgeek had been using to advertise Pornhub for years by doing things like sending out Pornhub trucks to clear snow, having Pornhub sponsor tree planting and breast cancer research, and getting Michael Buble involved in their April Fool's joke. DMM is also beginning to infect live-action media; there have tons of live action adaptations of romance manga lately, most alarmingly Wingman -- an adaptation of a very sexual manga made into a tokusatsu TV show, which is one of the last vanguards of (relatively) safe, family-friendly Japanese media actually made for children and not loser creeps. There is a very blatant marketing strategy behind all this, and it's a testament to how, yes, media and marketing do affect real-life behaviour.

I don't think it was literally "obscure" or anything, it was kind of hyperbole because of the contrast between like let's say 2018-2019 and 2020, there were definitely and 100% smug retarded lolicons around before 2020, but comparing pre-2020 to how it was post-2020, it was insane.. I think even the graphs and/or charts that were posted not long ago show that too (somewhat)- There were never THIS many until recently, I'd say it became more mainstream outside of some anime-focused communities

This stuff isn't underground but it definitely wasn't that much shoved in your face like it is now, I've been the internet for as long as I can remember + when I was younger I was somewhat interested in anime and enjoyed watching anime-community jokes and I have almost never seen it this bad unless I was sheltered or something and in that case please forgive my ignorance:lossmanjack:
