It's extremely resource intensive to add images and such to the chain directly. A good solution is to encode images/videos in a certain format then make a hash of it and add that to the blockchain. If you also put in things like image dimensions, color palette then it is very difficult to forge an image that would have the same hash and still match the other meta information. So you can post documents on a regular server [or a torrent] and then add their meta information/hash to the blockchain and have best of both worlds.
