Most people seething about "shills" need their brain checked for worms.
No wonder 4chan doesn't get any homegrown gamedevs or creative projects anymore, the second you start getting any positive attention for doing anything you earn a dedicated schizo who does nothing but detail and spam BUY AN AD REEEEEE*

*This does not apply to Nintendo™ products of course, they're popular cultural phenomena.
Last thing 4chan did was steal some schizos flag in the woods like 10 years ago. The sharty at least has George droyd and five nights at cobsons, 4chan is a bust for creating anything now.

Felt for a long time that 4chan is weirdly stagnant and unresponsive to nu-internet challenges and general online malaise.
But I thought that it's because the maintainers just have a weird aversion to changing anything built by moot.
It turns out they're basically a bunch of 40k techpriests using prayers and routine to keep a piece of archeotech barely going because they are clueless how the thing actually works.

It's shocking that it took this long for something similar to happen considering 4chan was basically a zombie site with a giant target on it's back and an absentee owner that left to buy a pack of cigs years ago and never came back.
When "why fix what isn't broke?" becomes "why have a lock on my door?"

>get the two week banhammer for shitposting a bit too hard about Karl Jobst on vee
>finally get unbanned, dump huge effortpost into a niche strategy game thread on /vst/
>soyteen fucking nukes the site minutes later

Just my luck
Over the past fucking month, 4chan was out three times
>That one time the Captchas failed and the site became graveyard
>The retarded April Fools event
>Today

Jannies and mods have bad karma.

I genuinely didn't expect the backend to have not been updated at all. Changes on the frontend kept happening as we all saw with the 900 second cooldown. I am alone in liking that change as it kept some schizos at bay. But the server still using a 2016 version of OpenBSD is wild. If the site comes back I imagine that they will have to finally update things.

EVERY 4FAG THAT JOINED AND INSTANTLY CLICKED ON THIS THREAD, REMEMBER:

I'm too lazy to write more but this should keep at least One in line.
