The single most devastating thing posted on this site about Nick is the CHIPS documents. Bar none. It wasn't the Hedonism II pics, or Mandy, or anything else.
MANdy was fucking hilarious. The child testing bigly positive for cocaine put dark thoughts into our minds. I hope the racoons and skunks arrange an ambush in the night for him after that.

"His commitment to his work and his love of the law drove him to be one of the most successful law channels on YouTube drawing hundreds of thousands of people to engage in legal discussions."
Judge upon reading this:

"So you're telling me Nick Rekieta is the reason we have so many sov cits lately? Jail. Straight to jail." :story:

As if passing the bar is what leads to substance abuse problems and not the practicing law part.
This is like some kind of lawyer stolen valor lmao.

From the letter:
Like a vast majority of lawyers, Nick struggled with substance abuse. This is a well-known and studied problem in the legal profession. It is so widespread that every bar association has programs and resources for lawyers with substance abuse problems. The stress of quickly attained fame and fortune is also often a catalyst for substance abuse that is also widely acknowledged in the entertainment industry. Nick’s meteoric rise to success no doubt played a role in his mistakes.
Yeah, that's great, Megan, but there's a big difference between hitting the drugs because somebody has a stressful law practice, and them doing so because they're a degenerate and have more money than brains.

By the time Nick starting hitting the drugs, his law practice was effectively dead because he was so successful on YouTube he didn't need the law practice anymore. Nick's life was easy as pie when he started in on the coke. This was more selfish indulgence, and less an ill advised coping mechanism.

Her primary focus is in family law shitshows, something no lawtuber wants to cover, because it's a wildly different, and soul crushing.
Fair to a point, but the thing is she covers family law shit while criticizing this site, subforum, and thread for covering...

*checks notes*

...Nick's family law shit.

I mean, do any of you think intrepid "journalist" Megan Fox wouldn't cover any CPS reports she could get her hands on? She's a fucking hypocrite. She's like CNN bitching about Fox covering a story that's damaging to "their people."

There's a few other choice things I could say about this letter, such as the bullshit claim that Nick has saved so many lives, but the single most nauseating thing about the letter... without question... is her pushing the idea Nick is a great father.

In the end though, it's not worth getting MATI over, because her letter is not gonna change anything. Dumb clout chasing blonde writes dumb letter to court. Film at 11 (or rather, right now, on Elissa's channel).

Good grief, Megan Fox is retarded.

"Like a vast majority of lawyers, Nick struggled with substance abuse. This is a well-known and studied problem in the legal profession."

Really? A vast majority of lawyers struggle with substance abuse issues? According to the American Bar Association on Lawyer Assistance Programs, 21% of lawyers are considered 'problem drinkers' (a mealy mouthed, somewhat meaningless term that generally just means somebody who drinks more than the recommended weekly intake.) 9% of lawyers have an issue with prescription drug misuse. Less than 6% admit in a confidential survey to having used cocaine, crack or other illicit stimulants.

Perhaps it's just me but if I'm writing a letter to a judge claiming that my status as an 'author and journalist' gives me some kind of privileged insight into a particular issue, I'm going to be sure as hell that the statements I make in my letter are accurate and not some completely invented figure I've just pulled out of my fat lazy arse. Today, the media are held in the lowest esteem imaginable by the public. Why? Because of their tendency to lie about issues to further their own agenda. In this case, to attempt to gain sympathy for one of their friends.

The judge in Rekieta's case doesn't appear to be a moron. He seems to be completely engaged with the substance misuse issue in the community he serves, and I'd fully expect him to be well aware of the extent to which this is a problem in the legal profession. I imagine that he'll just see her claim as a piece of overblown rhetoric in support of her friend, but if I'm the judge and somebody's sending a letter like this to me, I'd regard it as about as useless as a piece of well used toilet paper.

The letter is just about meaningless because all she is doing is begging the judge not to send Nick to prison and to put him on probation. Which given the state sentencing guidelines is the nearly inevitable outcome anyway.

The consequences of the plea deal being rejected don't really have to do with Nick at all. If the plea deal were rejected, the people to suffer would be Kayla and April.

@Captain Manning quote feature broke.

...Nick's family law shit.
The real reason is that she covered that one teen chick 4chan whore, who got her head nearly cut off, and discovered this site was the only place hosting the death pictures taken by the murderer. She claims she contacted @Null, on behalf of the dead kid's family, in an attempt to get the pictures removed.

That went as well as one would expect, and created an everlasting hateboner.
P.S. Sorry about the ping Null, but it directly involves you, the site, and a 'journalist' being an ass.
