Russian Special Military Operation in the Ukraine - Mark IV: The Partitioning of Discussion

I have an honest question. If the UK government declared any ID spelling 'colour' as 'color' to be illegtimate, what would you do? Shit your pant? Cum and fart? Would this be le hecking genocide?

I honestly cannot fathom being invested in this retard bumfight over whether Kiev is spelled with a I or Y. If you do I think you should legit swallow some buckshot. You're arguing that men should die over spelling, you're chink warlord tier pathetic. Slavic wars are always over some pathetic shit like "no dude an albanian shoved a bottle up my ass not a serbian" despite the albanian and serb all being muttoid turks.

Slavs are unabashedly the most pathetic "humans" on the spheroid.
It's more than spelling to the Ukes.

For them trying to change the names of places to be in line with their dialect is a way to both gaslight themselves into thinking they aren't just self hating Russians with stockholm syndrome for whatever Western nation is occupying them that day of the week and to solicit gibsmedats by passing off their butchered accent as a seperate language to outsiders in order to pretend the conflict is a war of conquest by a foreign horde and not a civil war they spent the better part of a decade provoking.

some dumbfucking Banderites might have been gunning for dysgenetic Slav slapwar shit, but it's fucking NATO whom fully greenlit retards like that getting into power and causing an entire war over it.

Russians laugh at ukrainians renaming places to New York or Kyiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiv.... But only Ukrainians are killing people over the mere crime of 'wrong language'. The whole actually killing people and Ukraine wantonly openly becoming a NATO nuke base is what drew Russia into the war.

Ukrainian as a language isn't standardized; for example, I sometimes come across posts in Russian making fun of the various ways pretentious hohols write the exact same thing in Ukrainian. I can't recall atm where I read it recently but it was discovered quite a lot of folks on both sides of the border regions who believe they're speaking Ukrainian are in fact actually using surzhik.

To be fair to the hohols Irish Gaelic isn't standardized either, and let's not get started with the number of Spanish variants that exist in Latin America.
Also typing this i realize you might have been facetious.
Unintentional but yes.

I take back everything I said. This proves that Ukrainian is a valid language.

I mean, what is a greater sign that a language is more than a dialect than being able to think for your whole life you spoke it only to realize that you actually were speaking another, also 100% seperate language?

I personally can relate to this on a fundamental level. Every day upon surviving another emu attack I would return home and debate trolls on teh interwebz about whether English or Indonesian are the same language, so you can imagine how shocked I was to discover that actually I and everyone in my area were actually French speakers. A honest mistake anyone can fall into given how mutually intelligible all of them are. I hear the that the same problem is also common in Malaysia where Hokkien, Malay and Tamil speakers routinely discover they are actually speaking a different language than the one they thought they were.

Good luck understanding your "same" language on the ground, especially west of Kiev. Dunno why posters here just can't believe it's not butter it's not the same language. Portugese and Spanish are literally the same by comparison. Dialects vary (russian also has a pile of dialects) but UA and RU are not considered mutually intelligible.

To expand on that, Polish, Slovak, Czech, and maybe even Croat are more similar to Ukraimian than Russian is. Belarussian is the closest thing, and that is also derivative enough from Russian to not-really-be mutually intelligible.

"Dialects vary (russian also has a pile of dialects) but UA and RU are not considered mutually intelligible."

The same can be said about Ebonics and English. Ebonics is for people to whom the english language is too complex and difficult to master so they created a nigger version of English more suited for their intellectual capability to handle language.

UA is the simplified nigger version on RU?

Based on what I've seen it looks like the Slavic equivalent to what Scots/Tok Pisin is for English, or is a dialect continuum like the Scandinavian languages.

On paper they are seperate languages, and some dialects are far harder for others to understand on account of their thick accents/different spelling, but if you lock speakers of the two languages together in a room by the end of the day they will be able roughly understand eachother, especially if they came from the neighboring region.

That's certainly how I feel. I'm fluent in Russian and listening to Ukrainian feels like listening to someone speak Pig Latin, i.e. "unpleasant".

Couldn't be further from the truth. I can understand a good 50-60% of spoken Ukrainian with only knowledge of Russian and with having zero training in the Ukrainian language itself. I can understand even more when reading with context.

Czech and Polish? I can understand maybe 15-20% on very simple every day topics.

Reminds me of "pidgin," which the BBC continues to insist is a real language and never ceases to crack me up as they peddle their propaganda in Standardized Central American Ooga-Booga Niggerese.

How the fuck do they not get run up the flagpole for posting such an endless stream of obvious parody?

I took a quick look and didn't see this mentioned before. Russian research institutes recently published (declassified) dissections of two popular NATO armored platforms:
I recommend skimming the reports unless you have a MechEng or Materials Eng background because they are thick on somewhat boring details. IMO the most interesting/insightful things are tables like the one I include below that make a direct comparison between NATO and Russian weapons platforms. Keep in mind that these are findings by research institutes whose goal it is to make recommendations for improving Russian armor going forward and thus they work hard at keeping a neutral tone.

I imagine most folks will be interested in skipping the foreplay so below I pasted a chart that summarizes comparison of T-90M and Leopard 2A5 MBTs. I hope this information will be more useful than "World of Tanks" BRs if you decide to join online discussions on which tank is "better".

No. Galician-Portuguese morphed into its own, separate language at the tail end of the 12th century and was standardized by the 17th century. It's also the official language of several former African colonies, former colonies in and around the Indian subcontinent and several former colonies in Asia, most notably Macao. Oh, and the biggest country in Latin America, former colony Brazil, which is also the largest Portuguese language country in the world.

There is no standard Ukrainian and it's the official language of only one country; the Ukraine, which will be 34 years old this August.

I'm having a hard time understanding the source of your rectal pain. Spell "Kiev" however you want. Just like how I'll always spell it "Turkey" and not the dumb "Turkiiiii" thing they have going on now. Anyone who tries to correct you on your "le hekking spelling" is a reddit queer.

The fucking Turkroaches even use a letter that doesn't exist in English in their retarded version of it.

Not to mention that by all records, ukrainian was something old village people spoke until the Great National Awakening of Teh Ukraine happened. So you could say it and its spread is as organic as Zion Don's skin color.

Edit: "Türkiye" - that retard letter is present in many languages btw. I have nothing about using the native spelling of a name, but sperging about it is retarded beyond reddit tier.
