I love my dead gay imageboard!

This does not even deserve a ritualpost introduction, because this is dead serious!

The April Fools I did a few weeks ago on my imageboard, shutting down the boards...

The JOURNALISTS and REDDITORS are gloating on me! They're blaming it on me!

IT'S MY FAULT, I ADMIT IT! IT'S MY FAULT!

Listen to me...LISTEN TO ME

Keep those goddamn farms on. I don't care what you do, you get all our dox on ta there...tonight.

4chan was becoming absolute shit.
/pol/ was almost unusable from some shills. They used to post, not so long ago, saying "why do right wingers not care about their own selfs and only care about the stock-market?"
then recently with the tariffs, and the stocks dropping they were saying, " why do right wingers not care about the stock markets and their own interest?"

Just hypocrits and it was were you couldn't even have a discussion on their about anything to do with the tariffs intellectually at all. Absolute garbage and this stuff was spammed up. Did the jannies do anything? no of course not. and this whatever they were trying to make it about, seemed to be more and more prominent on the site since generals were about introduced on /pol/. that seems to be about the time when they tried to make the board about one thing generally. Not so much generals themselves but the idea, blueprint, behind it. Ok in and of itself i am guessing right now havent thought too much about it, but thats basically what the shills were trying to do. and without removing general/discussions, they couldnt be removed because mods allow anything that is associated with something in any loosely way to stay as long as it went with their grain.

i don't know what the cut-off date was for me, probably around 2018 were i stopped finding anything insightful or useful browsing there and every time i've lurked again i've come out with a bad mood so i stopped doing it except maybe when there's a happening, most of the site is low quality ragebait , same botnet threads over and over and stuff from twitter.

One thing i'd miss is finding funny new reaction images, even if the discussion is complete trash there's always a funny random shitpost or two.

I mostly browse(d) /v/ and /tv/ and my biggest problem is (was) the amount of unrestricted female worship. For every thread that resembled actual discussion of movies or games, you'd have ten threads of masturbation addicts posting pics of their "favorite" actresses and erotic video game art. Even with dozens of filters I had to hide threads CONSTANTLY.

Meet Kenkai, /v/ /vg/ and the sole /trash/ janny.

Kenkai is better known as Krial from /vrg/ (virtual reality general) and /vrlg/ (virtual reality lewd general), which are VRChat general threads on /vg/ and /trash/ respectively.

Kenkai/Krial is a popular figure there that runs a weekly VRChat event called Tipsy Tuesday, which is full of troons VR ERPing out in the open. It's basically a virtual tranny sex club and Kenkai/Krial is the leader.
You could make an entire thread about /vrg/, and especially /vrlg/, the amount of stalking and grooming behavior there is unlimited, they have frequent IRL meet-up and you can read drama about them all the time in the archive.

4274 result founds on /trash/ alone for "Krial".
/trash/ has been under the radar on 4chan for a while, but you can find a ton of exceptional individuals over there... And the fact that one of them was the janitor of that place is hilarious.

For easy access, incase you don't want the code on your computer, or whatever reason, I have uploaded the 4chan source code to https://git.slowb.ro/AgarthaCrack/4ChanSourceCode
Bless you for that. I'm having just the most cursory look at it and even at just a glance I see direct SQL statement assembly, i.e. not using bound parameters, rampant use of error suppression operator (very bad practice, why no exception handling?), keys / secret values committed to the code and such a lack of modern approaches and language constructs they're conspicuous by their absence. E.g. no typing at all of parameters and return values, no Composer (!), no standard logging library (just spat out directly to a file handle), global variables that are read in from a text file, split by line endings, compiled into an array rather than just use a modern defined constant array.

And this is from around 10-15mins just looking around semi-randomly.

Is there any way to know what version of PHP and what version of what OS this was running on? I've seen people allude to the latter but not sure where in this exploding thread I can find that info. I'd love to know what version they are running.

PHP started life with global variable registration enabled by default. It is literally Swiss cheese with a door. You're literally safer trying to write an imageboard in brainfuck than in PHP.
I disagree with that. Where PHP started and where it is now are very different things. Prior to version 7, it was a bad language. With the early 7's there were major overhauls and the main weakness of it was lingering support for older features though they were rigorous with deprecation notices to dissuade people from using them. PHP 8 is a downright good language for its purpose. But I can tell from a glance at this code I don't believe they were using PHP8. I've seen nothing yet that would rule out it still being PHP 5.x Which is terrible if true. That's loooooong since been out of support. Hell 8.0 dropped out of support last year and 8.2 is now in Security Fixes Only.

I really want to know what version of PHP they were running, even if feels rather prurient.

Computer, generate an imageboard that has reached EoL in 2014, and not serviced since 2016, have it overseen by people with no technical experience and make them all look like Captain Riker posing as Deanna Troi, give it a daily user count of around 600,000 people. Next, upload a .pdf file unto the website, and turn off safety procedures. Lock the doors. Engage.

Meet Kenkai, /v/ /vg/ and the sole /trash/ janny.
You're telling me the handful of decent threads on /trash/ were left to be strangled by schizos because the only janny was trying to get some axewound in vr all day?

I'm not surprised, I'm really not, but Christ almighty. This is the first time I've been mati in years.

Do you realise... Do YOU realise something...? Let me tell you... If the 'teens on the Sharty see those .edu emails, that you signed up with on the damn 4chans, they could find our house, and we'd have to stop being jannies?!

Nothing much. I realized they were a group of trolls raiding /vp/ all the time and spamming either porn or genwars. someone once posted a link to a discord server saying it's the raiding group, so I joined, took screenshots of their arranged raids, usernames and locations, that some boards started to delete their threads very quickly and I became one of their most hated users ever since.
You say this, but just post you gloating about the results, not the screenshots. Bro's chasing that pink triangle...

The only reason to go on /tv/ was to simp over Nastassja Kinski while perilously dodging each and every "COALBURNER" thrown your way. I'm sorry you were too homosexual to appreciate that kino.

Actual fact, which is why most people went to /vg/ or one of its offshoots. Even those are full of rampant shitposting and schizo nonsense, but at least not /gif/ tier group masturbation.
decent threads on /trash/

I'm not sure why some of you are mourning the potential death of 4chan. Almost every board was Astro-turfed to death and we now know from the leaks and private banning reasons that a lot of it was actively facilitated by the mods just banning people for personal bullshit reasons. You can actually talk more shit and express your opinion more freely on the average reddit board than 2025 4chan.

Topics about hobbies and interests are always flooded with porn from gooner trannies, topics about current events, culture or politics are constantly flooded by discord raids and aided by jannies putting their finger on the scale by banning people and deleting posts they don't like.

I do think 4chan will come back, the mods and jannies need the site to be around so their pathetic lives feel like they have any value, so they'll beg and crawl for Horshiromoot to give it another shot. But I personally hope it stays dead. The people who weren't shitting up 4chan and actually had on-topic discussions on the things that interested them will find or create a different place to do so.
