A 16-year-old track athlete was killed during a championship meet Wednesday morning in Texas by a member of another team, officials said.

Frisco Police confirmed the student-athlete died "despite lifesaving measures." The suspect, 17-year-old Karmelo Anthony, has been charged with first-degree murder.

A student from Frisco Memorial was the victim, according to local reports. Frisco Memorial Principal Brook Fesco wrote in an email obtained by Fox News Digital that Austin Metcalf, a junior at the school, had died Wednesday.

The incident occurred at about 10 a.m. at Kuykendall Stadium at the University Interscholasic League's District 11-5A championship meet. Anthony attends Frisco Centennial, roughly 7 miles away from Frisco Memorial.

According to the Frisco Independent School District, the meet was suspended shortly after the incident. The ISD added that the stadium "was immediately secured, and students were released and sent back to their home campus on FISD buses with expediency."

In her email, Fesco said the school "will acknowledge Austin’s death during 2nd period and will offer support throughout the day," adding counselors would be available.

"As a parent, your guidance and support will be important in helping your child process grief. Talking about this together, face-to-face, will give you a chance to discuss how your family understands and copes with loss. You may also want to discuss with your child how to be a supportive friend to classmates," Fesco wrote. "This loss might remind your student of past losses as well. The most important thing you can do is provide your child a chance to be heard and to express their feelings."

"The Frisco Police Department grieves with all those affected by this devastating loss and extends its deepest condolences to the victim’s family, students, and staff who are experiencing unimaginable pain," the department said in a statement. "The department is collaborating with the Frisco Independent School District and will continue to provide any support they need during this incredibly difficult time."

Metcalf, who also played football at the school, participated in both the boys shot put and discus events earlier in the day, with threw distances of 39 feet, 9¾ inches and 86 feet, 4 inches, respectively.

Anthony ran the boys' 100-meter dash in 12.38 seconds and was scheduled to compete in the long jump.

Eight schools competed at the meet, according to MileSplit.

This case is doing so much to set back race relations. It wouldn’t surprise me if we get riots when that nigger gets convicted because I’ve never seen a black condemn his behavior. It’s all “How can you support Rittenhouse and not this poor kid who was being bullied”. Hate every YouTube commentator who goes “Well it’s probably self defense”.

Okay even if you have some deep seated sense of obligation towards your kid, surely you’d be locking them in their room and giving them only gruel, water, and a Bible. Not buying them a fucking Lexus

Nevermind a Lexus, depending on how powerful the parent is sometimes the child gets away with it. I digress.

We're not supposed to discuss personal issues here so I'll just say this from experience: No matter how bad a situation is some parents are just in complete fucking denial about how screwed up their children are.

There’s a quote somewhere that hopefully someone will post, but it’s about how black people literally can’t wrap their heads around past/present/future, so when a momma says her lil’ boy dindu nuffin, she truly believes it because the man who committed the action in the past cannot possibly by the same person as her son in the present

True but race relations have been set back since Zimzam already. All whites know blacks fucking suck to be around but everyone pretends because they need to keep their job.
Some of them view pattern recognition as evil. As such, they are not racist. These types only start Noticing when a jogger violently disrupts their life in a way that cannot be ignored; and even then, they don't always start Noticing. They can't handle it psychologically.

Exactly this. People are far too retarded to understand the case details

  1. Rittenhouse? Attempted to flee multiple times and was chased down and attacked. With a club (skateboard) and had a firearm pulled on him.
  2. Zimmerman? Had someone on top of him beating him to death on the sidewalk before he pulled a permitted CCW and killed a guy.
  3. Penny? Minding his own business taking the subway prior to being accosted by a drug addict homeless jogger.
  4. Karmelo? Went to the visiting team's area where he didn't belong. Was challenged by the other group of people. Got cagey and stabbed someone to death over it. At a highschool sporting event in broad daylight.
Which one doesn't fit here? I wonder.

Asmongold talked about this in the previously mentioned video, as has Eric July and a few others. This wasn't a problem in the 1990's and I don't recall it being an issue again until we (USA) elected a black POTUS who refused to nip the race-baiters in the bud.

Again, apologies for the TMI, but I was referring to white folks. It seems like a universal thing to believe your children are all perfect angels.

1. The amount of people who thought Rittenhouse killed multiple black people (including my wife) and spouting "HE CROSSED STATE LINES" was astounding.
2. Often left out of Zimmerman's story was that neighborhood had been repeatedly burglarized and no one was doing anything about it.
3. & 4. I don't know why any race-baiter would take those on as a cause, they're straight-up losing arguments just like Ahmaud Arbery was.

Make no mistake here. Brobama began all of this. Because he saw the opportunistic angle of race to gain political advantage. Using the same old tired Leftist philosophy. I must do anything to get into power and once I am in power I can then fix things for good. The ends justify the means.

I really want to see that money refunded and the hose foreclosed on.

If you raise money for a lawsuit, and you solicit donations with that explicitly as the purpose, using it for something else should be illegal.
Fuck that boy and fuck the family.
Isn't it funnier to watch all these racist black people donate money with "fuck whitey" messages, then watch the family waste that money on ghetto lottery prizes like Lexuses and rental homes they can't afford without a constant flow of grift money? Watching a fool's money wasted in front of them is pretty funny to me.

Assuming the justice system doesn't implode into clown world, it will be even funnier watching the family and all their racist supporters get fucking felted when GUD BOI gets decades of prison time and a felony murder conviction that will follow him for whatever useless life he has left post-prison.

How long do we think it will be before all the new toys are repossessed, and what will the fight look like when the parents refuse to leave the rental after they don't pay the rent?

Has Texas fallen into crazy squatters rights? Better question, what are the odds that multiple family members end up in jail before the murder trial is over?

I bet if you read the fine print from wherever the fundraiser was hosted the money is for "whatever we need in this trying time" or something like that. No refunds!

Oh, I don't think gofundme people will go after them. But they are definitely blowing through that money like they found a money tree. Rent and new cars mean no real assets from the spending either, just a bunch of shit that won't be worth anything when they have to pay bills, and the grift bucks stop flowing. Taxes are already waiting.
