Then do it. Don't focus on how you feel about it; how you feel about it doesn't change the reality around you. You just need to square up and figure out a way to get it done. You need to accept that while things are hard, moping about it won't change anything. You might not like how things are, and that's fine to feel that way, but you have to understand that you can accept something without liking it. It just is what it is right now, and there's nothing else to do but solve the problem.

It isn't hopeless, you just need to start working to take small steps to figure this out. Quit saying 'that won't work' to every suggestion; how long can you do that for before the 'right' answer you want to hear gets said? You just need to do this one step at a time.
