Holy crap, they must really hate him for a first time offender.
His relationship with the local judiciary is clear from this classic image

Nick deserves much, much, much worse but if he actually has to go to jail for 28 days and, pick up garbage and is on the hook for up to 5 years if he breaks the law again then that's more than I expected from a cucked state like Minnesota. Unless his bullshit lawyer succeeds in lowering the probation to 12 months, but I doubt he'll manage to do that.
He won't be sober long enough to complete his probation, but he also probably won't see additional time over his guaranteed violations. Minnesota isn't exactly a hard on crime state and we only have to look to fellow lolcow BMJ to see that after beating his dad twice and pissing hot like 5(?) times in 6 months, he's only getting rehab. The 5th time he pissed hot was after getting sentenced to drug classes for 6 months after pissing hot the 4th time. He misinterpreted the classes as having to attend rehab for 6 months and decided to just smoke crack until he had to go to intake. What were they gonna do, send him to rehab twice? Oh yeah, he's also been kicked out of rehab during that period as well.

Nick will piss hot or miss PO appointments numerous times before anything substantial happens to him and I suspect his parents will wrangle him enough that his violations aren't severe or close enough together to provoke much of a response. They are enablers who must protect their coke addict son at any cost, including their grandchildren.

There is so much Nick could be doing to mitigate his sentencing right now.

If he had gotten a job at a the local Jimmy John's or other fast food place and begun creating a documented record of him being a law abiding / tax paying citizen, that would go a long way to show the court he's serious about doing the right thing.

He can't do that, because he's Nick.

> Be a trust-fund rich whitebread ass nigga with five kids and a drug habit
“Now now, Nicholas, let’s be gentle. A minor slap on the wrist, a little rehab, and off you go. You poor troubled soul.”

> Be a poor, struggling, actual nigger with five kids and a drug problem
Ten years. No parole. Say goodbye to your kids, if you’re lucky, you’ll make it to their graduation in cuffs.”

The MATI rage I feel at the classist, two-tier system is unreal. Nick gets the softest landing money and whiteness can buy, not because he’s decent, not because he’s reformed—but because he was born into the right bloodline. No achievements of his own. Just inherited grace. Any other man in that position would be left to rot. But Narco Nick? He gets to fumble through life while the courts hold his hand. Disgusting.
The difference is that the Nigger done other crimes, besides its Rackets he'll piss off the judge and make it go even higher.

Aaron gets billed $50 and Nick is going to jail. Dare I say it? :story:
Another win for the Toe!

:really: Why would I work? That's a poor person thing, I just collect my grandfather's checks and give them to the local whippets dealer, if you think about it, I'm donating to the local economy :really:
:really: I donate to online talkshows! I'm keeping kids fed! No, none of them have children. What do you mean giving money to a pedophile is not a good look? I move to dismiss the judge for bias :really:

I think getting womb tattoos, spending your whole day in Melton chat and attending a wedding where you got drunk and told everyone how you lost your kids is a better idea.

So I'm no law expert, and obviously it's just a recommendation and isn't what Nick has been given yet, but how likely is it that this will stick and will be what Balldo Boy is sentenced with? Or
Nick gets sentenced Friday morning. The Barneswalker Nick has representing him has already presented his side. As for the state, I presume it's likely that they'll argue to follow the recommendations from county corrections in the presentence investigation.

It's really telling how the letters on Nicks behalf just talk about how good of a dad Nick supposedly is, but can't give any arguments as to what Nick has done in the PAST ELEVEN MONTHS to show how he's serious about being a good boy and how it would be a waste to punish him. There were dozens of things he could've done in order to stock up his good boy points that his lawyer could use, especially seeing he's independently wealthy and doesn't have to make money, so he had all the time in the world.

But it was more important to bitch and moan on the internet all day I guess
