/k/ died when they banned gun control discussion
>The sticky and every newer than new faggot current thing tourist who pointed at it to screech about the /pol/ boogeyman like it was a sacrosanct 2006 edict of God's own Moot and not some seething glowmod shutting it down after what /k/ kept getting up to during the zimmerman trial, the CLANKENING, and start of 3D firearm printing movement
10 years, 13 if you count the first attempt by mods to kill the board.

What happened to /k/ was an intentional demolition years before glowie twitter turned it's desiccated corpse into their private clubhouse. Pre 2015 /k/ had been a staging ground for information and decentralized resistance to several waves of gun control scares during the Obama years. /k/ deboonked the "zimmerman hunted trayvon through the streetz" narrative that now forgotten was weeks of print/television news coverage by taking the girlfriend phonecall audio, police reports, and police call to timeline out the dindu nuffin'ing of traveling a dozen blocks to slam a fat mexican's head into the pavement and turning it into a simple mspaint infograph. The board was the ground floor shitpost room for the Clankening of 2014 and fumbling of the aftermath by the Obama administration, in stark contrast to the nafo fren hugbox the contemporary board became where no actual nuts and bolts "...military?" discussion can be had about what is actually happening in the ukraine war. The Warfairy printable reinforced AR receiver and stock was made and files disseminated while the defdist to come was still a twinkle in an autists balls. Zip steganography was being used to disseminate it and the PATRICK revolver as .jpgs

Pretty much all existing board culture and community projects were snuffed out within months by someone upstairs being mad the gun board wanted to keep owning guns and were critical of the currentthing to take them. There isn't an insult for how new the /k/ isn't /pol/ faggots were and everything they reported to the jannies invariably was what the board was when it was still /k/. At least board is kill as it was long since dead.

@Null what do you think is going to happen when 4chan inevitably comes back online? This is obviously way too big for them to pretend that nothing happened especially the longer the site is offline. I feel like there almost has to be some sort of concessions on some things like the 900 second timer or some of the moderation policies if they want to have any chance of recovering the site’s userbase. That might just be wishful thinking on my part.
It would be funny is Jawsh just snakes 4chan and makes an anonymous imageboard section on this website, it could be temporary like how you make a false-habitat for a creature before releasing back to its real environment :P

Speaking of schizos. I remember this flip schizo from modern day kpg. He would always enter other boards, generals, rage about his waifu and spam gore. There was something in /mu/'s water that produced insane anons.
This reminds me of whenever anyone posted WMAF in the jav thread on /jp/, lol. One time a schizo went off and started talking about how all white men should have their head cut off. I didn't think there were that many asians on 4chan.

Normalfags already believe 4chan is a website where neonazis conspire to democratically elect Donald Trump and use over nine-thousand penises on children. The idea of 4chan users owning guns? Those scary black things that are directly responsible for all the violence in America? That had to be given special attention. Even more monitoring; even more snuffing out potential beer hall meetings than the rest of the boards receive, which is already a lot. /k/ was absolutely killed because the federal white collar workers in charge of monitoring 4chan spit out their Starbucks once they heard people on that website can still somehow obtain firearms.

a reasonable fear considering if you got every single system administrator in the entire kiwifarms together to try to do it we most likely could not do it in 60 days
if you were trying to bring 4chan back what would you do? i think they should have tried to get 'something' up. forget updating the old code. pick an os they can work with and rebuild from scratch. they should still have the 4chan pass users if that's the most important thing and they could implement that later. they could take an ib fork from wherever and customize it. i'm not saying that's trivial but it's faster than trying to figure out what their predecessors did and why - which is probably why they couldn't just update in the first place.

Bro, these are people that were already doing this job for free because they just wanted what little Internet power it gave them getting that Internet power taken away like this is probably one of the worst things that happen in their entire life and when they get it back. They’re going to be so much more Abusive assholes about it and they’re going to feel like it’s their right to do so because of what happened it’s going to be significantly a worse website.

I remember when the boards were merged and /co/ and /ck/ got combined into /cock/. Sounds silly, was actually comfy.
And one of them is still alive! /mlpol/ became its own thing when the tranny jannies thought they'd get pollacks and ponies to murder each other. Which they did at first until they both realized they hate the same things. Bronies hated the direction their franchise took and the people leading it to its downfall... and /pol/lacks hate everything and anything Jew related. It was a match made in Hell. As a bonus, bots and shills did not know how to react to horse pussy spam and for once both boards found peace.
