700k to punish researchers investigating the undoubtably detrimental impact of cannabis on gooners and pooners is theatre. Elon isn't an inventor, business genius, or policy maverick. He's an autistic baby given outsized power because of his colonial lineage.

"he's a liar... but he's cucking the libs heh heh" is centrist brainrot

There was a whistleblower leak, with somebody from within the government coming forwards with detailing how the activity of DOGE has led to a significant cybersecurity leak. I have the full pdf file attached to this post, but needless to say... if these findings are true... the implications are terrifying. Let me give a quick abridged description of the document.

For one, when members of DOGE were creating user accounts in NLRB (National Labor Relations Board) systems, there were multiple occasions of actors from Russia attempting to log into these accounts, using valid credentials (usernames, passwords, stuff like that). The login attempts in question were made mere minutes after the DOGE staff had created the accounts, suggesting a severe security breach, one or some of the DOGE staff being a rat/s, or Musk's whole organization collaborating with the Russian government.

On top of that, the data DOGE exfiltrates from government organizations is done so towards unknown servers. So for all we know, confidential government data might've been directly sent out to US adversaries.

Another thing of note, while the team were preparing the pdf file for whistleblowing, someone had taped a threatening note one of the team's member's house door, with photographs, taken with a drone of them walking in their neighborhood. Indicating proof that there are actors wanting to keep this data breach discreet. For what reason or who is responsible, we do not know.

To get full detailed account of the events, I recommend reading the document in full. The implications of such high level security getting breached and the data possibly maliciously being exfiltrated abroad more or less means that nobody's data is safe, as DOGE would have access to all the data gathered on civilians by state organizations, from state hospitals to secret intelligence agencies. There is absolutely nothing you can do to salvage your data if you are an American, except pray that DOGE hasn't managed to check up on everything, or hope that Elon Musk and his lackies were competent enough to be beyond this from happening. Yeah I know, very highly optimistic outcome :optimistic:

I say you should just prepare the rope right now. HANG THAT NIGGA NOW.

This is a false dichotomy. $700k savings in the context of a $2t budget deficit would be 0.000035%. If you had a $100 deficit, finding one penny in your couch would be 0.01%. I don't think you need to support getting lesbians stoned to see the entire DOGE circus is a dog and pony show. This isn't serious cost cutting, this isn't systemic change. This is presenting literal nothings as heroic feats to impress financial illiterates.

I'm not denying that shit like USAID and NSF need serious reform but this isn't serious. Serious reform takes thought and time. It's extremely obvious at this point that the entire DOGE approach has been a disaster for Musk and an albatross around the administration's neck where what is a broadly popular policy of cutting the government has lost a significant amount of support due to how poor and uneven the execution has been.

Lolcow crossover: Elon is apparently a fan of Whatifalthist. If you don't know him, Rudyard is a personal favorite of mine, a highly attractive 200 IQ young man with the answers to all of society's problems. He is most famous for his Christmas meltdown last year, where he released 12 hours worth of video, covering his conversations with deities, his mother raping him, his ayahuasca trip, and more.

Edit:
The video Elon shared is from History 102, his second channel. It sees Rudy taking the most cursory look at hugely broad topics and making big overarching conclusions despite have a young layman's understanding of the topic. His main channel is Whatifalthist. It doesn't actually cover althistory any more. Just look at the titles of the latest videos and you'll get an idea.

There are some good writeups of the Christmas Gift in his thread and a few funny videos covering the highlights. Here's a good one from the perspective of a fellow rightoid. If I recall correctly, this one is from a guy who's at least vaguely lefty. Here's a compilation of some of the rant. And another one.

The most memed part of the whole ordeal was Rudy retelling a particular part of his conversation with Odin wherein the Norse god demanded that he provide a list of every woman he has ever fapped to. This is why you'll see comments on his posts asking him to 'release the Odin list'.

They teach fiction as history so it's a pretty successful grift yeah
Let me guess, you think 9/11 was an inside job? Or was there a conspiracy to kill John F. Kennedy?
Womp womp. Tesla Cybercab and Semi will once again be delayed, because their components are made in China and I guess Tesla doesn't want to pay the 145% tariff or whatever it is up to now.

I mean I can buy that people are more retarded than we should give them credit for. But if you were an actual high level, nation-state sponsored hacker, you would just compromise a low level domestic/corporate US IP address and route it as the end point of your 7 proxies/boxies to login to shit. This is really trivial, baby-tier shit in terms of hiding your footsteps and leaving no/minimal evidence behind.

Them using IP addresses that are either actually Russian or already associated with Russian hackers either means they're not top-tier, something else is going on or they're deliberately doing it for psyops?

Reading the report it is far more plausible that these are just Russian hackers who are "data brokers" (they hack and steal data and sell it to the highest bidder) instead of Russia as a country doing this. It would explain their lack of care.

I don't know much and I'm pretty retarded, but here's something that I do know about.
The Kremlin has been known to, at times, outsource its government hacking jobs to its domestic criminal hacking groups. It's unusual for them to do so, but it has happened. It offers plausible deniability for the Russian government to get this data, as you pointed out, as it pins the blame on the criminal group instead of the SVR. Governments at least try to be careful about covering their tracks. Criminal groups like the notoriety - it advertises their services to prospective clients.
The Russian government can then use that data to identify spies in the US embassy working under diplomatic cover.
It also keeps their criminal hacking groups in line: if the Russian government asks their domestic criminal hacking groups to do something and they don't comply, there is always the risk of being rounded up and sent off to penal colonies. Despite outward appearances, criminal hacking is still illegal in Russia. If Putin or an oligarch gets pissy about these groups not doing what they are told to do, they'll be sent to prison.

It's very strange how the moment the logins were made Russian IPs were logging into them. Unless the system had a trojan and someone wanting to get noticed there's no way this is happening the way the leak says. The logical answer is glowies are pulling psyops. They don't want Trump to make peace with Russia and DOGE/Trump cleaning up the government makes him an enemy to them.

Putin looks the other way on Russian criminals as long as they don't target Russia. Being able to use them as a helpful resource has always been part of that. Same way drug runners, smugglers and people traffickers get ignored. It's better to have those things set up when you need them for undercover work.

Ah yes, Russian hackers. Surely I'll fully and blindly believe this after everything ever remotely related to Trump ever was blamed on Russian hackers since 2015 and get overly emotional and fedpost about what should happen to Trump and Musk over this revelation that is yet to be digested by people who don't have the emotional maturity of a 6 year old. That's the only rational thing to do in this situation.

Yes. THAT is the logical answer. Mah bru Elon dindu nuffin
You would have to want to be caught to do something this obvious. You don't hack into government systems without a lot of hops between you and them. And you don't immediate start logging into accounts you have compromised within minutes of them being made. If you have a back door that good you try to keep it hidden as long as possible. The average kiwi is using more security to connect to this website than the hackers were.

If this was a burglary the criminal would have walked in during Thanksgiving dinner. Spray painted "Russia did this" on the wall and then walked out with the turkey leaving behind a MAGA hat in it's place. It's so crude it's like they wanted it to be found.

Those are some pretty serious claims being made. I am gonna hold back on having a opinion because niggers have been crying wolf non-stop for almost a decade now and it has made me instinctively doubt any such explosive anonymous claims.

As some people have pointed out the immediate logins as soon as they are created are really weird. It could be Russian glowniggery in the USA sure, but it could also be a case of US glowniggers faking it on Russia. I think it could also be a case of the Russians spamming the system with common login/password combos at all times so the moment some DOGE intern creates a "User: DOGE pass: doge" credentials the Russian spam can click into place. Assuming it even is Russian and not just using a russian IP as proxy.

Looking forward to hearing more on the story. Big chances of nothingburger but you never know.
