I'm unsure on why, but given how many mods where on /vg/. Why the fuck did they not make another board specifically for mobile vidya generals. They where accounted for higher post counts because 80% was just straight waifu posting, not actually any content at all. I personally was posting on /rwg/, /egg/ and /poe/ on and off for a last few years and it would shit me to no end, that shit could be bounced off the board due to waitu posters.

Also the mods failure to contain AI image generation into a specific board was a spectacular failure, going onto random boards and seeing /ai/ garbage fucked me off to no degree.

Bruhhhh there was /vmg/ and it was the shiiiiiit
Basically it was /vg/ for mobile games but 1000x times slower. Threads lasted months but it was chill.
There were also some ephemeral threads that could be interesting, but also slow.
Also there was some "gacha drama" thread that was pretty active.

No, maybe I’m optimistic, but even if they get the site back up and fix all the exploits, they will lose the last few remaining good posters. For many this was the last straw, showing just how decayed 4chan truly was. Why should I bother posting on a site that only has 1 good thread a day and continues to get worse?

4chan isn't even the same as it was before. The leaks proved its astroturfed and redditturrfed. We all kind of knew deep down, and I guarantee you you were self censoring yourself / scared to say certain things because you knew the jannies would ban you, aka the opposite of the whole point of the site.

So are there any more updates on the future of 4chan beyond the leaked RapeApe post from a couple of days ago where he said they're working on it and that it will be back?

Situation is so annoying. First I get banned for a fucking week for posting a thread on /biz/ urging people to look into what I believe is an underrated cryptocurrency. Of course because of this I get banned, not just from /biz/, but from all boards for 7 whole days. Well when was the ban lifted? On April Fool's of course, when 4chan had the gayest prank of all time when they just simply removed all boards. So in essence the ban was 8 days because of this.

Then I start working a new job so I just don't have the time or energy to even shitpost. Finally had a long weekend this week and was getting ready to sleep in and then browse my favorite boards while drinking my nice coffee and I navigate to 4chan only to find out the hack has taken place and boards are unusable. Now my weekend is over and I still can't shitpost there. So annoying. And I'm not even mad at the hackers. I get it, gay fuckin jannies brought it upon themselves. May they get raped both figuratively and literally for being such faggots

Joke's on you, there was a dedicated board for mobile games. But it was intended for the discussion of mobile shit in general whereas game generals is a different sort of topic(which is kind of semantics but what can you do). But /vmg/ did exist and you it was generally a lot slower, more comfy and less schizo than /vg/ threads inhabited 80% by zoomers who think image boards are just like their discord server and if there isn't a super high post per minute then everything is dead.
Also I'm pretty sure there were that many jannies on /vg/ because they were actually entirely split up dedicated to specific generals. And some generals absolutely fucking needed dedicated babysitters.

Also an AI containment board is a retarded idea. Like I get the sentiment but there just isn't really much to do about it because there's going to be a thread on /b/, /trash/ and probably /d/ regardless because of people spamming toddlercon, futashit, literal shit, shitting dick nipple shit, etc. And at the end of the day each board where an actual ai general resides can afford to give up a thread slot or two. Though I've got no idea why dall3 threads were tolerated on /v/ at all. That shit was pretty stupid.
