Yeah, because if there's one thing I know for certain about those rowdy, skinhead, working class football fans, Al, it's that they're fucking mad about trannies. They love 'em. What laws target chavs? I'm dying to know how they're just as historically oppressed as the Irish.

It’s funny because fencing is actually one of the more equitable sports there is, since it’s a bit more mental than about force (especially if you are doing foil) and there are a lot of mixed sex competitions out there because of this. I used to fence a little, and women can often be on the same level as men. My sister was very good and she did a couple of mixed sex tournaments in high school and actually wrecked a very highly ranked boy, so I’m not suprised that this TiM is ranked so low, but since men tend to be taller and thus have a better reach, and have better reflexes, they do tend to have an advantage. (My sister is pretty tall so that tended to nerf that advantage, but a lot of fencing women tend to be short since it’s not a sport based on raw strength) And there’s alap a psychological advantage tbh, especially when you are a teenager. I know of at least one girl who would murder when she was matched against other girls, but would get very nervous and lose confidence when ever she fenced against boys. I’ve heard you see a similar phenomenon in chess, where women who know that they are playing against a dude versus not knowing, tend to be at psychological disadvantage.

So I don’t think there’s anything wrong with women and girls being able to chose mixed sex tournaments, but I totally understand why they would want to keep the rankings seperate by sex since it would tend to favour men overall.

Edit: I also remembered that a lot of hijabis gravitate towards fencing (I knew at least two personally in passing and I lived in a an area with very few muslims) because you are so completely covered up so you don’t gave to worry about modesty, so I could definitely see this leading to a changing room issue, since the gear is so bulky we all tend to put it on in the main locker room rather stalls for ease of movement also so people get help you get dressed. I could easily see this turning in a woke Olympics nightmare at a fencing tournament lol

So just to be clear:
1) This ruling does not and cannot impact legal recognition of marriages because the UK has allowed same sex marriage since the 2010s.
2) Gender Recognition Certificates are still a thing.
3) Men are still free to call themselves lesbians.
4) This ruling appears to be entirely independent of the debate over NHS coverage for gender treatments, which is instead being driven by the Cass review.

I'm looking for the problem and can't find one, even when I tilt my head and squint the worst outcome is that there might be issues with single sex spaces + government records nobody cares about.
