She's not okay and neither is Chibi. And what about his Grandmother? Shouldn't SHE be the ones we keep in our thoughts? Oh that's right. It's all about him.

And how much you wanna bet he'll try to sing some animu song at her funeral?

He's an empath, didn't you heard?
Also did you know he went to Japan?
Jeez, that's some hard hitting news! Next thing you tell me that Caveman has trooned out!

Seriously though, this keep ME in your thoughts is the best reason why no one should feel sorry for him.

What? Chibi went to Japan? And not just once but FOUR times in only three years? He's truly the hero we deserve.

But he's wrong about the "not paying American taxes" while in Japan. Uncle Sam wants your money regardless but the idea is you pay your Japanese taxes as you have to and you still need to fill out your American tax form. The difference is they don't tax you twice on the same amount. But if you're in a lower tax bracket in Japan but a higher one in the US you will pay taxes over and above what you paid in Japan.

It's really simple. Suppose you have a lower tax rate in Japan than you would in the US. You pay 20% there but 23% here. Japan would charge you the 20% and you pay that. But you still have to fill out your American tax forms and they will charge you your 23% minus the amount you already paid. But since most people pay less taxes here that's why he's saying that you don't pay American taxes. You do. It's just if it's more than what you paid in Japan.

Ok, Cheebs clearly doesn't have a grasp on reality if he thinks he won't experience the same problems every other foreigner who goes to Japan does. He really thinks he's going to move there, get a teaching job, and everybody is going to see him as a totally real Japanese citizen and love having him there. The fact he makes somewhere around $80k a year and only has $30k to his name and $42k in student loans is fucking insane. He lives in a Condo, where the fuck is all that money actually going? His actual plan is to move to Japan and just forget the money he owes for his loans and live on a "low income instructor" Visa. Cheebs is going to destroy his own life and end up killing himself in Japan.

42k in student loans and he only got a Bachelor's? I knew Full Sail was a scam but holy shit. If he really makes 80k a year, then he could pay those loans off in a year and still live comfortably, but he wouldn't have the disposable income to travel to Glorious Nippon three times a year and a man has to have priorities. 30k in savings sounds less like savings and more like either his mom or grandmother made a trust for him that he can't touch or else that money would be gone already.

Jesus, fuck.

Speak to a Financial Advisor, not fucking Facebook.

I'm not sure your debt just gets forgotten about because you've moved abroad. Before you even get to that point, it might impact any visa application you make.

Americlaps, is 42k in good goy debt a lot or is it normal?
The average American debt in 2023 was a little over $90k. But that includes everything that accounts for debt, the average student loan debt is around $30k, with personal loans being around $20k. To rack up $42k in student loans while making $80k a year for the past several years with nothing to actually show for it is fucking insane. This isn't on the levels of being bad with money, this actually on the levels of having no concept of how money works and just spending it because you have it. He makes nearly twice the average yearly income of a person with no college degree. There's no possible way Cheebs has $30k in his bank account with that much in student debt.

TL:DR: It's not a lot in most debt estimates for home owners, but it's higher than the national average for a student loan and he makes more than enough to have it fully paid off and could be paying off a house with his income.

And that's exactly it. He's spending all his money on Japanese crap and trips there.

There's this idea that you live below your means. Don't buy a coffee at Starbucks every day, but it at the corner store or the gas station or wherever it's cheaper. Or fill a thermos at home and bring it with you.

There are ways to save money quite easily but Cheebs is like one of those autists that pays the minimum on his debts so he has more money to spend on his passions.
