What's your favorite animal OTHER than cats and dogs?

Whistling hares.
If I could restart my life like a shitty phone comic protagonist, I'd live in the mountains and study whistling hares.

(I've seen them IRL. Photos can't really convey how amazing they are, it's the movements, the way they pop up here and there between the rocks, the routes they plan, the grace with which they carry huge bunches of plants to build nests.)

I cannot decide!

Well, I love the aesthetics of lions & symbolism they represent, specially when it comes to mythology, or when their figure is used in paintings or other artistic elements.

I kind of like bees, there's a bunch around where I am, and sometimes they get drunk on nectar, so I can easily hold them in my hand until they recover. They're so cute.

I also like the camel or the dromedary, they are such intersting creatures, (and it is the ride of Paimon, demon of the grimoires).

Now I also love a lot of insects, so I'd have to put them in a whole category by their own.

In regards to birds, a bunch of Ibis' species look amazing, so that's another one.

I feel like I could post some more, but for now these are the ones I'll mention.

hares are adorably goofy this time year.
I remember watching rabbits in my ex boyfriend's yard, they'd race around in circles and leap into the air, crashing into one another at high speed and flopping back to the ground to do it again. I have no idea what kind of ritual that was, but it was so funny. Like toddlers propelled by coffee and springtime!

It’s breeding behaviour - the females ‘box’ each other to show off for the males and they all run around and jump and go crazy. It’s where we get ‘mad as a march hare’ from.
If they're rabbits, is it still called a cat fight? 🤔

I don't really have a favorite animal and I don't think I could ever really choose one, but I have been recently very enthralled by the Yangtze finless porpoise.

Ignore the smug one on the left with part of his penis poking out.

Pea puffers exist and people keep them easily enough in freshwater aquariums. Here's some pictures of them:

I like bears. I want to pet a bear (and live to tell the tale) some day.
You'll love this webm I stole from /an/ some time ago then.

Crocodiles. They're just too cool.
There used to exist a whole group of land crocodiles(Planocraniids). Boverisuchus from Europe has also been called something along the lines of the "hooved" crocodile. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boverisuchus
