I feel like people overlook just how much Steven's obsession with Lauren Southern influenced his content. Destiny is unfortunately, able to sweep most of the criticism he receives for how he platformed Lauren by engaging in this historical revisionism that he only had her on stream with the intention of debating her, when in fact, half of, if not a slim majority of the content they did together weren't "debates" or critical engagements that accurately represented the views she pushes to her audience. This is not to say, that Destiny wouldn't call out points of disagreement, but SHE would be the one who initiated it by bringing something up that they disagreed on, which were obviously going to be things that made her look more presentable and more like a "normal" conservative.

If you think that I am being to strict with my standards when it comes to how you should approach people you supposedly vehemently disagree with, keep in mind I am only applying the standard that Destiny sets for other people. Destiny got rightly mad (from his perspective) at Cenk, for becoming way softer on republicans like Charlie Kirk, or when Hasan had a softball interview with the "Houthi kid" (him being a actual Houthi could be bullshit footsoldier propaganda I don't care enough to check) and didn't confront him on anything challenging.

Of the streams he did with Lauren, three of them were gaming streams, one irl stream, four where they just talked about bullshit (non debate convos), and one where he literally did a live showing of her anti-immigration documentary "American Mirage". Absolutely none of these streams fit his own criteria. Remember that how someone behaves in a conversation can be different to how they normally present themselves or their ideas, which is why it's not enough to be like "well, I pushed backed when I disagreed with her", when your not actively seeking the disagreements you know you have with that person that they aren't acknowledging.

So, to recap, while having an affair with LS, Destiny...

• Implicitly promoted her (watching her docs on stream, re-tweeting her, etc.) and sanitized her image to new potential audience traffic.

I hear that and understand it coming from a place of either a) hating FD's guts or b) frustrated knowing FD wouldn't have come on Bridges with Steven still around. I think this is an understandable position but when it comes to platforming, if I refused to engage with people others hated, then I wouldn't have talked about having collabs with Steven in the future.
