Alex, every music has "repetition" or melody as you said when you started the text wall. Every instrument has a beat and they keep repeating it for X amount of time, that's how music works. Saying she "gets satisfied from recognizing a pattern" is like saying she enjoys all kinds of music.

Hi. I was going to register here before the site went down. But I didn't get to it until now. I have read the entire thread as it was posted though. So I've been lurking a long time.

I'm not really a big Yansim fan. But when I downloaded one of the early builds I assumed it would just be a fun anime parody sandbox game. I never in a million years thought it would become this. When I first heard Eva's voice I figured he was either doing a voice in an attempt to sound a bit creepy to match the game's theme or trying too hard to speak clearly and calmly. But after the email video was over I felt a bit creeped out by it. And when I saw his face... You just wouldn't expect that voice to come out of that guy. Eva looks like he'd sound like Screech from Saved By the Bell or something. Coupled with the awful personality and the way he treats his fans it just soured me on any real potential the game has. It's a shame to see such a cool concept being run into the ground by this guy. The email video was awful though. He really went out of his way to sperg over emails and act as if his fans were a huge bother to him. Even if the emails were excessive he didn't have to be such a dick about it. Why not add a bug report form to his site with a clear outline of what should and should not be reported? Why not have a volunteer form to narrow down the people with talent from the kids who think they are graphic artists because they can draw fanart in Paint? Why does he make everything sound so difficult and hard on him when he's making bank on Patreon and can afford help with his problems?

His loyal fans shoot down the slightest criticism. Until they see the light they are zombies. Places like tumblr are full of terrible Yansim OCs and you know that each and every one of those fans is hoping Daddy Devpai will notice them and put their edgy Mary Sue into the game.

While I kind of feel sorry for TinyBuild being stuck working with this whiny schmuck, professional help is the only way that Yansim is ever going to get done. I really hope that they convince him to remove some of the garbage he put into the game. I'd love to see the panty shots go along with that dumb skirt inventory. There's no way his band of tween followers will be allowed to purchase the game anyway. They've already been crying on Youtube about the possibility of the early access alpha being sold to fund the game's completion. Imagine begging to use mommy's credit card to buy a game that features the murder, torture and sexualization of minors. That won't fly.

Since Eva doesn't wear skirts he probably doesn't realise that even having pockets in them can be really annoying unless you are carrying a tissue or something really light and flat. Most skirts get misshapen from even the smallest amount of bulk. They also get weighed down. Carrying anything akin to metal weapons would cause the skirt to not move properly at all and clang when Ayano sat at her desk or bumped into anything. And if she had to run it would be really noticeable. Ayano's skirt is pleated so there would be an immediately noticeable misshape to the pleats. Since the game is supposed to be serious according to Eva this would never work. It only works in a parody. In fact, in a parody this would be hilarious. Which is why it's a shame that he keeps insisting the game is serious when it doesn't feel like it works well that way at all.

When I saw some links here to his Gaia posts it jogged my memory. I do vaguely remember him on there. But I never interacted with him. He posted some of those threads in GD didn't he? That's a really dumb place to do it. Why not go to Life Issues with the other emos? Posting about your loser cred in GD will only get you made fun of. No one's going to help you much there. Maybe he was hoping for an e-girlfriend.

I wanted to point something out about Lunar Scythe that I don't think was mentioned here yet. If it was, sorry. The thread is huge. There is an item on Gaia called Lunar Scythe. It was released in 2007. Here's the item's description:

In a covenant with Death himself, the moon god obtained a weapon that gave him the power that he needed to overtake the skies from the grasp of the sky god.

Does this sound a bit like the plot to Lunar Scythe to you? I know it's reaching a bit. But the general outline is similar. Death bestows his power in the form of a scythe to a person with a name relation to the moon. I wouldn't be surprised if Eva was "inspired" by this item if it's more than coincidence. There's also an item on Gaia called Strangely Light Student H that reminded me of the stupid skirt inventory idea. This item has a couple of poses where items are falling out from under a school uniform skirt. Stuff like scissors and staplers. When I saw it I was automatically reminded of the skirt inventory system. Since Eva doesn't have an original bone in his body I wouldn't be surprised if it came from there or some other weeby thing like a game or an anime. It's not exactly a new concept.

Hey, welcome to the farms and specifically this thread. Don't worry about the lengthy post; it's interesting to hear from different people's perspectives, especially those who once supported/followed the development of the game (most of us here). Personally it makes me happy to see others here that have turned away from Eva as it gives me hope that there are at least some people out there who will question content creators / e-celebs and hold them accountable for shady shit that they do. It sucks that some people get a free pass because they have an army of asspats who defend them blindly over absolutely anything.
