Too bad that free shipping loophole got closed up recently. Gonna make that really hard to pull off.
China to India, India to UK/Europe
China to India, India to Uk/Europe, UK/Europe to America. Even adding the tariffs up, it still makes it cheaper.

Anything stamped with "Made in X" only has to have 5% of the stuff made in that host country, which can include packaging.
What i've seen online was that the Xinnie was gonna whore out it's shills to arab and russian oligarch for cents on the dollar then xinnie was gonna use the money to buy powdered tiger cock.

he's also gonna cull 100k or so peasent and other undesirables.
Ok?

I'm genuinely concerned, where do you people get the idea that China was somehow, someway, subservient to the US? We tried the open economic policies to get China into the US sphere and that backfired so hilariously hard that China's entire gambit since Clinton has been latching itself as an economic limpet on the rest of world thanks to it's billion man slave labor force. A force that's already been undercutting and destroying American manufacturing before tiktok, and probably before you were born. Your theoretical has been happening for a half century at this point.
Chill your beans. China was and is subservient to the US because, as you said, they control all of the manufacturing. The dumb, rice farming, smiling chink is wising up to the abuse that the west, all of the west, has dished out.

I'm not talking, in this instance, about widespread manufacturing. I'm talking specifically about the American (and Uk/European) companies that buy a product from China, made by slave labour, for cheap as fuck, and put a ridiculous mark-up on the product for nothing other than sheer greed.
$30 is the cost to make an Iphone, yet Apple sell them for $1500. That's not good, at all. I'm not saying they should make no money, but $1500?! They can fuck off. I would like $99 and would swallow $199, but $1500 on a single item that costs $30 is fucking scandalous.

And it's not just Apple. Nike, Adidas, Disney, all of the worst, overpriced niggercattle slop is made in China with massive mark-ups out of pure greed. Yes, I'm repeating myself because it bears repeating.
Lois vitton bags for $10,000's because they can? Because they've invented a generation of consumerists which are destroying what made the west great. They've bred a race of purchasing locus, ones too dumb to break the cycle, too deep in FOMO to stop buying over-priced, chink-made, american-stamped slop.

If Trump's tariffs - and I disagree with him on exempting electronics for the reasons mentioned above, break the programming and brainwashing on the normies, then that's good for all of us. No more will hyper-capitalists profit off of people. No more will thousands be flushed down the toilet in a needless pursuit for more tat. And, the biggest benefit for all, is no more will these greedy cunt companies excuse pushing anti-consumer policies, like apple forcing upgrades to apps that kill older phones that are physically capable of running those apps, just to push people to buy their over-priced chink-made shit.

If you want to bring manufacturing back to America, you can't do it while these companies operate like they are. You kill these greedy companies by China offering cheaper products, then kill the chinese companies by offering those same products, made at home, with a higher quality standard.

TL;DR Apple et al have used their money and power and influence to kick the ladder away from any real competition. If Trump not only puts that ladder back, but makes it an escalator, then all the better it is for America, Americans and the west.

its with heavy heart I admit @Fatpacks was at least 50% right, Im still vaugley optimistic but does anyone feel 3 months in we are more or less back to "business as usual?"

Something always felt off about your posts to me, but I couldn't really put it in words. Hopefully, this is just a "bad day" kind of post, but if it isn't: I'm glad to know that my gut was right.

Skimming through this article, it seems to be just a recap of how Trump used the topic of immigration against Biden and Kamala during the 2024 election, the Kilmar Garcia story, and the current fight between Trump and the judges trying to bring the immigrants back. Unless I missed it, Trump claiming "unfettered presidential power on immigration" seems to just be a clickbait headline; there's not even any quotes from the man himself. But if the headline is true, that is the exact kind of thing I want from Trump II. While I'm usually a "nothing ever happens" guy, I'm feeling :optimistic: for this one.

a product from China, made by slave labour
Your views are very outdated. It's been over a decade (if not more) since Chinese labor was "dirt cheap". China now has more engineers of various types than USA and companies were exploring moving manufacturing out of China and into other countries (Vietnam, India, Mexico, and even Africa) specifically to SAVE on labor costs. So far most of these attempts have failed because no other place in the world has the network of various experts and factories you need to quickly spin up tooling and manufacturing of a new product than China.
$30 is the cost to make an Iphone, yet Apple sell them for $1500. That's not good, at all. I'm not saying they should make no money, but $1500?!
Yeah, $1,500 because there's a LOT more that goes into the cost of any product, much less a premium item such as an iPhone, than just raw BOM. To start this includes hardware R&D, software R&D, retail costs, and salaries for all people (from China to USA) that are involved in manufacturing, shipping, marketing, etc.

The world view you express is so divorced from reality that I'm starting to think you're trying to bait people on purpose.

The leftist retort over this whole immigration debate seems to have centered around "government overreach", its the classic lean-on-libertarian-ideals tactic when the current government is doing something they dont like, they know they cant really win over the center by doing the "poor illegals and their kids" like they used to in this current year.

And that really makes me, think, I don't really consider myself a libertarian, but I do happen do agree with many of their points and occasionally go into their circles to witness and read discussions about broad range of issues, notably over that the government should have limited control over individuals.

An interesting divisive issue among libertarians however, is on the topic of immigration, a lot of them get split over "free migration" or a more restrictive version of it, because by principle, the government being more assertive over people's "freedom of movement" and is against libertarian ideals, but also also, some libertarians argue that such restrictions are necessary to prevent potential violations of others' property rights.

Yeah we hear this bullshit from the pharmaceutical industry a lot too.
This is such an "apples and oranges" comparison that I fail to see what actual point you are trying to make.

Yes, pharmaceutical prices in USA are insane, but BigPharma is only doing what the Feds allow it to do. Note how the same drugs cost much less in Mexico or even Europe because those places have either have regulations that force lower prices or government purchase programs that use taxes to make drugs available to citizens at a lower price. Here's hoping America eventually learns from Europe/India/Mexico and manages to reduce markups while still allowing American pharma corps to innovate and take risks at bringing new drugs to market. Is that what you wanted to hear with your twitteresque clap-back?

Well... shit. (source)
DHL will still do B2B shipping. Sure hope no one else follows suit.

Depends, this could potentially revive Non-Amazon American shopping. If you can't order an expensive made in Germany product online, you either buy American, pay double for the Chinese version, or need to buy it from an American store who's imported it.

Imagine if conservative businessmen fucks decided to fund artists willing to draw stuff like this, but in a positive light.

The leftists are obsessed with Nazis to a degree I didn’t believe possible. Even the KKK wasn’t so far up Hitler’s ass. It would be disturbing if it weren’t so hilariously stupid.

He should have been tried and sentenced to American prison and then sent to the fields to work as a slave for the rest of his natural life or until he no longer provides a net output above his own legally required consumption at which point he is then deported. This is the outcome liberals want. For these people to instead be enslaved in Trump's America. In their mind even that is better than these diverse nations they came from.

Ill be honest... Turning illegals into basically slave labor would be pretty dope
