There is a log message logged on Palo Alto NGFW when you click the monitoring tab (where you can view and query the logs), "user (the login credentials of the whistleblower) has accessed the monitoring panel" with a timestamp.
He doesn't include any screenshots from the Palo UI itself so he may not have even had access to it anyway. The only Palo-related screenshots are just showing interface metrics in Azure for the firewall. He also tells everyone who he is in the document anyway so there's no attempt to hide his identity.
