More than just kind of groomed from the sound of things. Apparently they found her shortly after she started streaming and started "teaching" her all about vtubing culture. Like how being parasocial with your fans is actually a good thing.

I think he has enough business sense to not run convention. Those really are mostly about exploiting volunteers. Unless you get to be really big where you can exploit bigger sponsors. I don't think there is scale for vtubers yet...

Reminds me of that Shondo clip where someone in her chat was calling her out on being parasocial and she started screaming "EVERY STREAMER IS PARASOCIAL! EVERY SINGLE ONE!" and how that still gets posted as a gotcha when you make that criticism.

Ehhh. I mean, it's not entirely false. I've heard a few girls "joke" that they get jealous when they see names they recognize in another vtuber's chat, for example, and I'm sure you can think of a few vtubers that are a bit too attached to their fans. That's just how the human brain works. "This person does thing that makes me happy. I like this person."

The problem comes when you start interacting with them outside of streams, especially if you don't have any friends or family.


Also, I doubt Fishman is dumb enough to try and make his own convention. Conventions are an absolute mess, and they almost always operate at a loss for the first few years.

So holofags went to holotower (pet mods who coddle them constantly and ban all even slightly negative remarks, pretty much a discord/reddit, even more so than /vt/). Homo, lil corpo and indiefags to 8ch (they have IDs and fairly loose mods which seems good for now imo, vids with audio can be posted, 18+ too). /#/ are also on 8ch, because all negativity is being banned on holotower and they want to shit on others constantly. I wonder where /jp/fags went, most can't speak nipponese so futaba/2ch aren't that much of an option for most.

Man, watching the reactions to Ash Again is fun solely for the comments.

The most obvious lyrics and symbolism and narrative structure and people are honestly confused as to the exact meaning.
 
I like this thread better when it's free of Blackjack, whether it's him personally or just a-log dumping his posts from elsewhere.

Like there's a pretty big line between someone posting that he's a big faggot in a random comment here, and now just making post after post after post about him and nothing else and tagging him to come talk to you about it.

There's a ton of youtube comments on Mori's "Resting power" that think the song is about Kiara because it has the lyric "bird brained" in it. I guess they didn't listen to the rest of the song.

Song spoilers?
It's a song about how she's conflicted knowing her popularity is owed to her avatar, that brought her success she never could achieve on her own. While also coming to terms with the fact that the two halves of Mori are one in the same now. It's very clearly an out of character song about Mori. It's a very self aware song and made me appreciate her music a lot more even when her early stuff isn't that great.

Also wanted to add that the song uses two vocal tracks of Mori as a duet effect to fit the theme of the song. In a way it's like Mori and Karen singing together.

Like don't get me wrong I'm not taking his side and the world would be better if anyone posting on lolicon forums just necked themselves. But you might be flying a bit too close to the a-logging sun with this.

If you've got significant enough evidence that he's a lolicon or pushing that shit here just turn it over to a mod and let him be executed for it. Mods have posted in this thread banning users for just stating that they were in the past and advised that those users just be reported.

But dragging this out and tagging him into the conversation here is just subjecting everyone else to more of his retardation.

Like Elfin I could only stomach following her for a few weeks, and even then I mainly did it as a fuck you to that yo mama faggot.

But in the end there is only so many times you can have your timeline be spoiled by self hating sympathy bait and posts that amount to "I have a porn addiction, teehee" before you go from thinking you are looking at an alcoholic shut in who needs help to someone who would poke holes in their life jacket if it meant getting attention on a sinking ship.
