I don't go to /tv/ often since I don't watch many movies, but when I do it's always a blast. You guys have made some quality shit. I really miss baneposting. Another board I never really go to but is funny to check in on is /biz/. I've saved a few pink wojaks, or whatever /biz/ calls them, last time I went. Quality stuff. I might have gotten this one off /mu/ if I think about it, but point still stands.

/tv/ has been on a steep decline, with generals being acceptable for anything trannies like. there is still light in /tv/ though, most recently seen with Lord of the Rings stock posting. that might be some of the funniest shit I've seen on 4chan honestly.

The problem however is that plenty of stores are slowly ushering in IoT on all devices. The unironic way to get away from this is to live in a 3rd world shithole (preferably a war-torn one) where crap tech like that would be jailbroken day one or sold the 'outdated' model... which is the mainly used in that country.

Part of the reason most new cars cost an arm and a leg nowadays is thanks to all the store's worth of electronic junk being shoveled into newer models. Which leaves you the choice of a decaying but unpozzed car or a brand new shitbox that demands you subscribe to a monthly bill so you can heat your seat. To make matters worse, trying to DIY repairs on it is extremely discouraged because the specialized equipment required to fix said car. In short, plenty of new cars are essentially giant I-phones complete with anti-consumer tech pre-installed with ads playing on your screen at all times.

Yeah you are right but I can't find my assortment of Kris postings, not even the "FUCK OFF KRIS" image that had like 10 years or more of his lack of improvement. I gotta get on that. On that point, I'm am glad to have saved quite a few /ic/ images from drawing improvement threads, the slower boards (save for Kris threads) were really great.

Sometimes it is the manufacturer being retarded, usually it is the thousands of regulatory boards in every country making dumb rules for what can and cannot be sold/imported into a country. For instance, good luck getting a new printer that doesn't print tracking dots/MIC that identify that specific printer used to print the document, you can't. Oh 101 fucking percent, That in and of itself is a violent cycle, if some cars like those aren't turned on in a while, shit will just bust. Then it's an old pile of scrap until you can miraculously find a replacement part for it. It's maddening you need to go through this much shit for what's essentially a necessity.
The Pokemon Card market is also a special kind of mix of malice and retardation. You've got these cretins sitting on unopened booster packs hoping that in the next 10 years it'll be the next holo Charizard card or something. Granted, that's something I believe is fully at fault of TPC because they intentionally make them rare for scalpers to buy in the millions, but that's another topic entirely.
