The source code apparently got released on GitHub, and it's licensed under the WTFPL. There are actually step-by-step instructions on how to install it. (Won't archive it since it's already archived on the Wayback Machine.)
I think Desuwa was one of 4chan's devs. Does that mean when (if) the site returns, it will be open source?
