I just got one when I was pissed off at google. Antipathy it what drives this consumer sentiment right here.

I don’t love it, I don’t base my identity around branded consumerism. I just needed a phone and was mad at google. It’s easy to be mad at google when the main differences are that google doesn’t manufacture the hardware but they do own YouTube, which is constantly trying to fuck with you.

Like this weekend, it kept stuffing my recommended feed with pro CCP videos from fucking Africa Africans. I ain’t clicking that shit

I would probably feel better about having a phone assembled in Korea than in China, but I’m also still rocking a ten year old phone with a battery that needs charging every three hours, so I’m definitely trying to be as non participatory as possible

My own personal conspiracy theory that I believe in is that climate change was a psyop created by the Chinese in order to weaken America and the rest of the world. Think about it in the us you were told for years that “cow farts was destroying the earth” or “eating meat was destroying the earth” well china never had any of that they were allowed to build coal plants and pollute the ocean for decades. I've had some one tell me that it was alright for china to not follow through on the climate change stuff because they have more people than us, whitch is retarted once you think about for 5 minutes.

My was for the most part, but I did have to listen to my parents and their retiree friends complain how expensive things are getting because of tariffs. I think China laughed off the situation and make false platitudes, but the climate craze started back in the 70’s, when China was an isolated backwater.

I mean sure, it’s probable that they played off white karenism. I could see them going so far as to pay western politicians to encourage the west’s self destruction in terms of industry. But I don’t think they started any of it. They just exploited an area of obvious retardation in this case

eh. Everyone’s job is holding steady, but I heard there may be a supply crunch in regards to AC refrigerant containers this summer. Apparently we got a bunch that are too big for US regulations and a lot of contractor supply places like FW Webb are severely backordered.

If we nuked china and india, the worlds pollution would be reduced by like 50%, Ocean pollution like by like 80%. And in terms of progress and value to the human civilization, nothing would be lost.

This is a conspiracy theory. Apple doesn't push any secret battery drain virus onto your phone. They push out new features, users with old phones activate them all, and then surprise, making your phone do more stuff drains the battery. They then spread tales about how Apple just mysteriously made their phone start draining battery faster for nothing, and oh hey, have you seen my cool new animated wallpaper?

Ironically, they also have a feature to extend battery life by throttling the CPU when the battery is low, and this made people complain that Apple was trying to force them to buy new phones with a secret virus that made their phones slower by throttling the CPU for no reason.
