It is truly amazing to see how he could never discern the idea of what was wrong with him and how he never even got a girlfriend. That level of narcissism he had was really dense, that I have even rolled my eyes countless times when watching his self-felatory videos about himself.

It would have been a funny lolcow video in any other context if it wasn't for the murders that happened afterwards. I think you should read the manifesto. His narcissism was a coping mechanism imo, that's why the beatdown only made it worse even though he was the one to blame. While he is guilty, declaring Elliot a pure evil innate demon is not going to help anyone. This is how most media coverage of him portrays him, and people usually either react like "we need more cops we need more surveillance!!" or "see, all men are evil this is how they are!!!" Most of his issues were caused by his family's negligence and his step-mother, while he also got bullied when he hit puberty. Yes, there are some people who claims to trying to help him at the time, but i think it's both that some of them are trying to just signal virtue and Elliot was too awkward/anxious to have efficient social interactions.

Elliot's manifesto should serve as a cautionary tale for incels, because most of them have similar issues with him. He should've took therapy more seriously, and just focus on his own issues rather than trying to chase a relationship thinking it will solve everything. This also shows how harmful some norms in our society are, but i'll leave that aside. For Elliot, being a virgin meant being an inferior creature that everyone avoided because he was so inferior.
