According to Alex's VNDB page, he's rated 2,656 hentai visual novels. If we assume it takes, on average, 8 hours to finish one, that’d give us a total of 21,248 hours or 885 days/2.43 years spent on gooning.

If we take 24 hours and subtract 8 hours for sleep, and another 2 hours for eating/hygiene/drawinghotdoglolis/whatever, that leaves 14 hours. If all 14 hours were used exclusively to play hentai games, it would take around 1,517.7 days or 4.15 years to go through that many titles.

If we factor in that most of these games likely have a skip or fast-forward button, and assume it now takes 30 minutes to finish one, we end up with 1,328 hours instead. Dividing that by 14 hours gives us 94.85 days, or about 3 months of goon time. This would be the optimistic scenario, the time lost would be akin to a short prison sentence.

Assuming that Alex likes to enjoy the plot AND 'the scenes' in his hentais, he’d be spending over twice the theoretical amount of time needed for someone to achieve high-level proficiency in a field (the 10,000-hour rule/myth). He could have used that time to achieve proficiency in one (not fucking 50) languages and learned to not draw like his feet were holding a pencil. What a waste.
