Your credit card not working and switching to cash still results in the same end goal of buying something, not to mention that the behavior isn't "extinct" you just had to adapt for a single instance and will use the credit card later once it works again. Because you are not actually a christian nation. You are a secular nation with a christian background meaning that while Christianity plays a large role in your culture it is not the state religion (at least to my knowledge, feel free correct me). Being a secular nation means you cannot place one religion above another (in theory) so if your officials are going to celebrate Easter for example then they will also have to celebrate Ramadan lest they get accused of favouring one religion over the others which obviously results in those religions adherents getting a bit annoyed.

True. I've read about all kinds of scams that the Asiatic Jew would pull on new and experienced customers alike. One popular scam is/was: create the first order of products to spec so they pass the customer's inspection. They know the customer can't inspect EVERY batch so the subsequent batches are made at lower quality or loser tolerances. Then you get a shipment of (example) 1000 packages with 100 being perfect and the rest being unsellable garbage.
They also manipulate industries into self destructive behavior so they can buy up foreign companies. The video game industry, for example, had what was apparently a Maoist manipulation tactic applied to it (I forget the name of it), with various forms of DEI and Modern Audience Sloppery... which causes the game companies to collapse after listening to the bad advice, allowing Tencent to buy the companies at 10 cents on the dollar.
That's just the particular manipulation tactic he's using. (You shouldn't even have to read his early life entry by now.)
