4chan lied to me by creating a negative perception of Canada as a country. It seems that Canadians are actually pretty based, as there's a subreddit called /r/thebronzemovement/ where one of the most hilarious aspects is the disdain the immigrants from India have towards "KKKlanadians" and "KKKlanada", along with copious amounts of victim complex as well as trying to remodel themselves as "south Asians". There's a bunch of other, similar subreddits sharing similar woes.

Yep. Mister Rodgers missed some of the horrors of today thankfully. I see memes about mister Rodger, claiming “this man never once brought up Jesus and he was still nice” or something. Truth is Mister Rodger’s brought up the Bible many times, like biblical stories. And Fred was hardcore in his faith, which was the main reason after his upbringing he was so kind.

Every single reddit page for a band has similar threads like this all the time. It sucks. I was thinking about that last night when I was listening to a record that came out ten years ago. When the album came out the subreddit was so extremely chill. The discussions were intelligent and thought provoking. I still remember a lot of them. The band never really took off in popularity so their subreddit hasn't seen a huge growth but the content has taken a depressing and predictable nosedive. It's mostly horrible memes and the comment section is filled with emojis, or it's political discussion about nazis and why they're bad. It's very passionate losers over analyzing one or two lines from a ten year old song to explain why it's bad that Nazis are killing transexual youth, as if nobody on Reddit has ever thought about it before.

It's depressing.
