You Know What Grinds My Gears? - Things that personally piss you off

Professionals who act like a normal person can't fix or diy something themselves. They'll hang out in help groups and give really overly detailed autistic answers that to the average Joe doesn't make sense without already having a high level of knowledge in the subject, and the question they're answering is always something like "Where does this piece go on this piece?"

On the flip side, people who give you shit because you had a professional fix something for you especially in an emergency

Sorry I don't have the reflexes or time to save EVERY meme I come across. Hell, I say this with anything on the Internet. I find an interesting article or video, Internet refreshes, I cannot find it.

Writing an effort post on any image board or forum, browsing other pages to pull links relevant to effort post, find everything you need after a bit, go back to the page, your connection lagged for a second and the page refreshes, erasing all my work leaving me holding a now pointless link in hand and 5-20 minutes of my life wasted

IT is the most demoralizing when its in a niche subject and you really cared.
But I ultimately ask myself if its worth spending another 20 minutes rewriting it, and the answer is always No

In threads where the idea is to discuss examples, people whose only response is to just name a title and then click "post reply." For example in the "Good Games That Should Never Have Been Made" thread (about good games that led to irritating trends in the industry) there's a lot of people who will just name a game and that's it--not explain why they chose it, which is the whole fucking purpose of the thread.
Ooh, and people who post a video without saying what it is. I don't mean funny reaction videos, but like in politics or music threads. At least give a lead-in, ffs. I've usually got music or something else going, which videos will interrupt, so entice me.

Another one, people who project their own anger onto everyone else. I'm sure we've all had this: you type (or in some cases, speak) something completely innocuous, but then someone else says you're sounding angry or temperamental, and you have zero clue what the hell they mean. Most confusingly, I've seen it happen when the person being accused of "anger" is clearly joking around and having a good time, or the "angry" comment is something that could not possibly be read that way.
Related: people who think objective information is a personal attack.

As a Bona Fide Effort Poster (tm), I feel your pain. I (always usually sometimes) copy all text after every paragraph/ few or when I take a pause to find/ verify some citation, and I paste the copied text to Notes (also a phone poster) or some other app that holds the formatting. And I copy everything before I refresh or switch pages, too, when I remember. So I guess I'm actually a Struggling Bona Fide Extra-Effort Poster (patent pending).

Same way except mostly politics
I'm not clicking random links and I am not debating your YouTube grifter with (you) if an anon can't be bothered to articulate their own argument then I just don't even bother

I've had to do this
But sometimes I forget, and that's when internet refresh fairy strikes again
4chan rapefugees who don't know how to use quote, then double, or triple post.

What I found in the office today:

- a dedicated and appropriately labelled drawer filled with empty printer cartridges
- a plastic tub full of clothespins
- two sets of acryl paint
- one set of water colors
- a dedicated and appropriately labelled drawer filled with tiny padlocks
- a sewing set
- a huge plastic container with nothing in it other than an abandoned and lonely-looking wireless mouse without the receiver
- an audio CD with what appeared to be a children's choir singing Christmas carols
- a book of secret insider tips on how to use the registry in Windows 98
- an actual bass drum in one of the storage rooms

What I absolutely didn't find in the office today despite my Herculean efforts:

- a single goddamn Post-It note

What's wrong with this place...

Working as a blue collar but not being able to tolerate the typical blue collar way of communicating, which is constant jabs at each other and continuous whining about your work. I just want to get the job done without having to listen to your nagging about how upset you are over having to do the work that you're expected to do. The banter I can handle to some degree, but not when it's 80% of the conversation at all times - makes me feel like I'm completely out of place, even if I don't mind the work itself.

When it's too warm to sleep with a blanket on but too cool to keep a fan on.
Gotta go with the fan, then add extra blankets if needed to comfort IMO.

My biggest beef right now is seeing skylines of luxury condo towers going up while homeless bleed into suburbs. Nice neighborhoods where people won't leave their 1st floor windows open (with screens) anymore.
Packages stolen from your porch, and even though you have quality video of the theft, you're still out unless you want to go through your insurance and have that cost hiked. The same security your insurance company recommended to have your premiums lowered and coverage "enhanced" is nothing more than an insta tik tok recorder only good for "I'm sorry that happened to (you)'s"

And pineapples. The amount of work it takes to get to the fruit is not worth it in comparison to other fruits from the same regions. Don't even mention buying it pre-cut by the grocer cause I know damn well there's at least one degen at that store who will see that hole in the middle an not hesitate to sodomize my pineapple before selling it to me.

It's not really that hard. I can do a pineapple in a minute if I don't get obsessive about getting every single trace of the edible part.
