Maddox / George Ouzounian / George Schnoz - OG Internet blogger, Author of the NYT bestseller Alphabet of Manliness, Cohost of the Biggest Problem in the Universe, Filer of the Lolsuit. MADDOX BLAST!

Just some information about Kendle and Hyde (sorry it's a bit late) they are a leather bag company that was somewhat popular early last year and did have a really nice design for a classic briefcase, but they tried to grow too big to fast like a lot of other Kickstarter companies and are now not answering emails and not shipping orders or issuing refunds (full disclosure, I've got an outstanding order with them and have done since October) and people are now starting to do some digging into the owners of the company and if rumours are true they are finding a lot of irregular dealings and one of the owners might be worth a thread here.

It's a shame really because they had really nice designs and a decent marketing campaign, but I had no idea they where funding Madox.

Just an update on this, Kendle and Hyde are now officially bust.

One of the partners has had off with around $2m in Kickstarter funds and what's estimated is another $750k in direct preorders.

They came out with all the regular kickstarted excuses, supplier problems, design revisions (not how it works in the leather goods world), shipping problems, fabricated disasters etc and as such and awful lot of people are pissed (rightfully so), and are looking for blood from Hyde as it's transpired that Kendle has been left high an dry and was prity much the minor partner and only designer while the other half of the business is nowhere to be seen along with the cash.

Hyde was the one who made the marketing decisions including sponsoring Madox, chimped out on facebook and was rude if not downright insulting to people who sent emails asking for refunds after 6+ months or longer of waiting, this has caused me and a few others to do some digging and it might look like he's worth a thread at some point if some of the more insane rumours are true.

Just announced this last night on the reddit!

I look forward to being recognized for the idea in the foreword. Also good luck - won't be easy. Way more people buy books in the most likely amazon categories (parodies or graphic novels) than comedy albums on iTunes.

This is why I feel kickstarters that surpass $250k should be required to submit proper incorporation and banking paperwork to get their money. this literally happens all the time, where one guy in a team of 2 or 3 runs off with the cash and ends up never getting caught.

Two more developments have happened.

Not sure if Madcucks was already mentioned in the thread. Madcucks emerged shortly after the release of the rape video. He is a dude that released a handful of his own videos satirising Maddox persona. Madcucks quickly became one of the personalities associated with the The Dick Show and is currently a fan favourite.

Anyway, first development: a couple of days ago, Madcucks followed Asterios lead and also released his own comedy album on iTunes, called Madcucks vs Existence. Just like the Santa Cuck album, it reached #1 on iTunes:

In addition to the advent of this second comedy album, a reddit user also discovered that Maddox submitted a trademark registration for The Biggest Problem in The Universe, without including Dick Masterson as the co-creator of the show:

http://www.trademarkia.com/the-biggest-problem-in-the-universe-87310938.html

This trademark registration was submitted back in January 23, one day after Madcucks anounced that he would go to LA this month, to be part of the next TDS episode. Speculation about why Maddox filled this requests range from trying to stop Dick from producing one last TBPIU episode alongside Madcucks, trying to obtain complete control distribution of the show's episodes, and also the possibility that Maddox might want to relaunch the show on his own. Everybody is encouraging Dick to finally take Maddox to court, so that he can't take full ownership of the trademark.

Is his "the wage gap is bullshit" video over 2 years old already? That's the last content from him I can remember enjoying.
I honestly wonder: if asked today, would he now "disavow" that video like he has his book, to please his girlfriend and the SJWs he's trying to get in with?

There were plenty of moments on the old podcast where he would say things that ran afoul of what we know now to be the SJW rightthink. One time in particular I remember him going on a tangent about how everyone is always bringing race into situations where it shouldn't matter and blaming white people for things. Would he be willing to repeat those kinds of things today?

I don't know if paying for legal fees is the best possible use of the Patreon money, but if that's what the patrons desire, then there is always the minimum payoff of seeing George saddled with the reciprocal legal fees on his end without any way to pay for them.

Its not even just about financial reparations. If Dick doesn't take action agaisnt this registration, he will lose ownership of the content he produce alongside Maddox.

Furtermore, Maddox is allegedly oweing $5000 to Dick from the profits of the bonus episodes, as well has his slanderous video about the rape list. Even if taking this to court doesn't pay off in terms of money, there was never a stronger case about how much Maddox had it comming.

A lot of speculation is going around. The leading theory to me is A) this is his book topic and B) he wants to sue Dick for potentially being in the way of his brand

I do not think madcucks going to LA has anything to do with it specifically. The date in general is probably in response to Dick's constant goss

patreon is not a "vote on how I spend money" - the patreon users buy access to the bonus episodes, live stream, etc. Anything else is up to Dick. He could do what they want or ask them, but honestly a legal fund would go on gofundme or some other one-time site. And even then, IDK if dick could legally win anything off the trademark. Maddox would first need to create damages from that trademark to really have a good chance of winning

new video today

actually decent. I wonder who his new writer is. He hasn't had a hit like this since his life hacks video two years ago

Yeah this one already has wayyyy more views than pretty much any other video of his in that time frame, and a better like-to-dislike ratio than most/all of them.

On a more opinion based note, I don't think the drop in quality really happened until around the "No one uses the word 'cuck' correctly" video from a year (give or take) ago. Within the last 1-2 years we've had the aforementioned Life Hack episode, Wage Gap, Spiderwoman's Ass, Hates Stories in Video Games and the one about Let's Plays...Haha okay that's only five but for post-200x Maddox that's a lot of good content in that amount of time.

Not really disagreeing with anything you said, just sperging and trying to
pinpoint what I believe to be the turning point (Spring 2016).

That one was pretty brutal though. It reminded me of when Chris used to get enraged at being called Ian Brandon Anderson because he thought everyone doing it literally believed that was his name.

I think he made that video in response to his twitch stream devolving into like 200 guys just typing cuck repeatedly... Which was still less obnoxious than 99% of twitch streams where idiots spam kappa and other inane batshit.

Cuck is just a funny word to say, I hope it sticks around.

holy shit this guy is unbearable. i'm tempted to make a thread on him because he's even less funny than maddox

Sure was. It reminded me of the Corky and the Juicepigs lyric "Sometimes I get sad when I realize, that all my heroes are gay or cowboys".

Besides being a cuck, the thing that really sucks is how he became blatantly left-wing after years of (at least acting like) he hated both major parties (which is the correct way to feel). I guess there were signs, like writing articles destroying Bush during his eight years but not making a peep about Obama's shortcomings the last eight years. Maybe I was blind but it just always kinda came off as "Everyone sucks (but it's easier to make fun of a redneck than a super suave guy who has a great smile and shoots hoops and cracks jokes.)".

The trademark information clearly states that it is meant for the podcast, so it has nothing to do with his book topic. B) is much more likely.

Nop. The twitch stream raid you mention happened this February, whereas the cuck video was released in May of last year.
