Stardom is the ground zero of turning joshi into fetish garbage. AJW was full of hosses beating each other into next week, and little girls watching loved it. Then Stardom started booking cute, young-looking girls to get thirsty men to watch, and suddenly every joshi promotion is turning their wrestlers into idols, if they're not straight-up trying to turn idols into wrestlers.
It's like watching a bunch of retards in special education.
Is this going to be the excuse every time it happens? Because it's going to keep happening. I don't know why you're so hellbent on defending Lyra but as of right now Becky, as a heel, could beat the shit out of her and take her title and still get cheered because WWE has given us no reason to care about her at all. Will that change? Maybe but Lyra is going to have to show some kinda charisma she's completely lacked so far to get the fans on her side.

Obviously Becky is the bigger star and seeing her turn is very exciting. I just think a lot of the conversation around Lyra I see online is really weird. She's like the least offensive wrestler in the world, but there's people who seem to be almost angry about her for some reason. She has good matches that the crowd gets into, seems like that's enough, but I think people want to dissect Lyra in ways that aren't typical, and to be perfectly honest I think most of the time it's because Lyra beat their waifu at some point. I just like watching Lyra and I'm excited for her to wrestle Becky again.

Dwayne has developed go away heat in all of his endeavors. He has always used wrestling as a popularity crutch. The problem is to diminishing returns. He is also terribly out touch and has been since before Hogan v Rock. It also probably does not help that he is a massive dick to deal with.
I think you're right. Last year very nearly got ruined, and it's astounding that he really thought he could take Cody's spot and everyone would be fine with it. Thankfully they were able to salvage that, have some excellent moments leading up to the show (the beatdown in the parking lot) and it led to a spectacular main event that made up for all the bullshit. This year was a different story. They never explained what "selling your soul" means in this context, but again I was willing to accept it because the end of Elimination Chamber was so good and made me so excited for what they had planned next. Unfortunately what they had planned was nothing.
