Sam and his wiggers really didn’t do much of anything. I think the overall tension surrounding the situation post-release got to them both. People came up with theories about how every little action Sam and Ian took was some sort of subtle dig, and that built up over time into outright resentment.

I rewatched it again as well, it brought back fond memories of getting baked and watching World Peace with friends in college. They fucked with him pretty hard but it was all in good fun. It disappointing me all over again when Ian wasn't willing to play along, or even really enjoy the moment, and it bugged me to no end when he kept using therapy talk on everyone. The several times Ian talked at Jet Neptune about his super ultra cognitive analysis of Sam, I could tell that all that Jet was thinking was "What the fuck is wrong with this guy?". But over all it seemed like they all tried their best to show idubbbz a good time.

I feel like a lot of people have rose tinted glasses for the era because most of us were at least to some degree a fair bit younger than we are now.
