Star Wars Griefing Thread (SPOILERS) - Safety off

You are fucked in the head and I see the pink triangle was well deserved. What kind of rape is sexy?
The fictional kind in art from before wokeness. Obviously real rape is horrible, but art used to be sexy even when depicting rape. Just look at basically any art depicting Proserpina. Star Wars used to show stuff like this in a sexy way with the slave outfits too.

You're missing that the five numbered NR Fleets were not the only warships the NR had access to. Thousands of singular systems, and interstellar confederations, that were part of the NR had home defense fleets, ranging from a rickety corvette or two to places like Mon Calamari or the Hapes Cluster that had dozens to hundreds (or more) large capital ships. These forces could be added to the official NR fleet command if needed. They are how order was maintained in the galaxy without the Coruscant-centered government having 25,000 ISDs like the Empire had at its height. The Empire took control of the home defense fleets right after its establishment and disbanded them or folded them into the Imperial Navy. They came back into existence with the NR. Fleets like the Dornian Navy (~80 capital ships iirc). The things you say bear no relation to any canon except the one in your head
Local fleets are not purely New Republic fleets. Those are local sector fleets that can jump to either side, and they vary greatly in size and strength. All it takes is for the Empire, the Vong, or some other third party like the Confederacy from Legacy of the Force, to approach their rulers with a decent offer, and BAM! They're against the New Republic/Galactic Alliance. I mean, that was pretty much the plot of LOTF.

The Old Republic learned this the hard way. Most of their fleets prior to the Clone Wars were ALSO local sector defense fleets. Their national navy was even smaller than the New Republic's. Then the Separatists showed up on the scene, and many of these local defense fleets started joining the Separatist Navy. Hence why people agreed with Palpatine when he started building up a unified navy during and after the Clone Wars.

These local defense fleets are like the Ailon Nova Guard. They fought for the Empire during the reign of Palpatine, fought against the Empire after the Battle of Endor, then when the Vong showed up, they fought for the Vong.

Also, I'm pretty sure Mon Cala's fleet is one of the five NR fleets. Mon Cala is their biggest and most loyal shipyard world. Shit, their navy practically IS the backbone of the NR's navy at this point.

This "local fleet" defense is rather pathetic. I mean, it canonically proved bad for the New Republic and the Galactic Alliance. These local fleets outside of the Hapans were all but the north side of useless during the Yuuzhan Vong invasion. More than a few of these local fleets betrayed the Galactic Alliance for Thrackan Sal-Solo's Confederacy, while ironically, the Empire stayed loyal to the Alliance. And need we be reminded of how useful they where when, during the Legacy Era, the Empire invaded again, and reduced the Galactic Alliance into a rump state that'd make the Imperial Remnant look like a king's domain?

You can glaze the New Republic/Galactic Alliance all you want. Canonically, the Empire crushed them and had the last laugh. And what was left of them needed the help of one half of the Empire to defeat the other.

XD

The Imperial Remnant had 3x-4x the territory in 13ABY than it had in 18ABY, which begs the question of how it managed to lose 65-75% of its territory to the New Republic, losing two major campaigns (in 14 and 17ABY), in that time if it had a larger military force.
Mostly because of the chaos caused by infighting and the Dark Empire campaign being lost? I mean, they had fucking Coruscant then lost it again, so they had to retreat back to friendly territory.

In the second campaign in 17ABY the Remnant even allied with Daala's independent Deep Core Imperial forces which should have given it an even bigger edge over the New Republic, Daala still got decimated by Bel Iblis' Fourth Fleet and then Pellaeon's forces were badly beaten in five separate engagements in a row by the combined units of the Third, Fourth, and Fifth New Republic Fleets.
That's one campaign. And they had to combine the efforts of several fleets, as well as an outside element that sat out the most important battles of the GCW. The Empire by that time is far smaller and weaker than what it was, and it took more than half of the New Republic fleets AND an outside element to defeat them. Even though by this time, the NR was way more than twice the size of the Empire. It goes to show that even a quack like Daala could be a threat.

It's canon that the entire Imperial Remnant fleet ISD-class and larger at the start of NJO was about 200 ISDs and 1 SSD
I just said that in my previous post. Also, most Imperial ships are not ISDs. Even during the Empire's height, ISDs were saved only for important missions.

Star Wars Andor was the most embarrassing thing since my son
The online blogosphere acts like it's the Second Coming of Space Jesus. Article after article, video after video, even from people who slagged the Sequels and Prequels, praise it as the most mature Star Wars show.

But those slaves weren't getting raped. They were usually just dancing their asses off for money, or because they're slaves and they didn't want their master to beat them.

What is happening?

It's always been implied since Slave Leia, but it does feel wrong to literally show it. And even the Twilek sex slaves were never played as dark and serious, it was just there for sex appeal.

Andor is made for the "media literacy" crowd. They can't visualize a Death Star in their mind or understand a character's feelings or motivations if he is non-human.
They desperately want to show their parents that Disney Wars is the thinking man's Star Wars, not a goofy thing with aliens.
I'm convinced many of them are adult fans who grew out of the franchise but don't realize this. That's why the obsession with making SW dark and gritty, and why they are so impressed by Andor, they've never seen adult TV before. They act like the show invented "prestige TV". The fandom has way too many people in it who clearly haven't enjoyed any Star Wars content since they were 10 and need to move on. The endless circle jerking about how the jedi and sith suck and "nobody wants more of that" is so tedious.

Just finished watching the episodes and I’ll do a full write-up later, but since we are talking about the attempted rape scene, I might as well give my thoughts.

Quite shocking to see that kind of reality. Not to spoil, but for those who haven’t seen it, an Imperial Officer tries to assault Bix. He tries to grab her but she fights back, eventually killing him. The physical act of rape is not shown.

Going by the article that was screenshot above, Gilroy said this:
I mean, let’s be honest, man: The history of civilization, there’s a huge arterial component of it that’s rape. All of us who are here — we are all the product of rape. I mean armies and power throughout history [have committed rape]. So to not touch on it, in some way … It just was organic and it felt right, coming about as a power trip for this guy. I was really trying to make a path for Bix that would ultimately lead to clarity — but a difficult path to get back to clarity.

While I can see the reason for why it was added, for the impact that such a scene generates; you could have left it out and it would not change the story.

Though I do have to call out @GlupShitto. Sexy? You would have preferred a scene demonstrating abuse of authority via rape to be sexy? You wanted to derive some pleasure from a traumatic scene? That’s creepy, degenerate, and ultimately, immature.

I'm not a prude by any means but introducing rape of all things into a series that never went beyond a kiss is very ill-fitting.
I'm pretty sure Prince Xizor tried to SA Princess Leia in the past, and got his balls kicked in for good measure. Rape isn't really anything new in the grand scope of the SWEU.

There's no shortage of dark Star Wars content in the SWEU. I'm pretty sure the backstory of the Rakatans that Andor loves to cite now and then would count. They make the Sith look like the Teletubbies by comparison.

He'll, I can just remember Peragus in KOTOR 2, and that was morbidly dark. Damn near everyone is dead, and you wade through their corpses to find clues about what happened, while the closest thing to a guide for you is a droid that's just waiting for a chance to kill you. It got so dark that fighting the Sith assassins was actually relieving for me as a kid. The Sith were a foe I can fight and kill; instead of getting killed by poison gas or some other trap.

There was also Tak Base in Dark Forces, and your only company there outside of the Imperial garrison are burned and mutilated corpses with a haunting stare. At that point, some drunk Imperial citizen trying to SA a peasant woman seems tame by comparison.

Welp, that might be the worst three hours of television I've seen in my life. The opening was promising, but it ended up being here's the spic being the only intelligent character in the room, marriage is bad and men are evil, and illegals are victims who deserve our sympathy and just want to work. Then they gave us a "rape" scene with the only hot character in the show and they couldn't even be assed to let her show some skin for that. Then they used it for muh wahmen empowerment bs. Genuinely awful. I don't get how this boring ass liberal propaganda gets so much love, even from so called conservatives. Shocked Cassian didn't stop halfway through to fellate his nigger captor and tell him that it's okay because the Hutts own slaves. Also Chandrila looks nothing like it did in Rogue Squadron which easily mogs the hell out of this absolute garbage fucking show. Anyone who enjoys this drivel should shoot themselves so they stop taking up precious oxygen.
Oh no how could it be shit if only you had been warned

Nigger this isn’t TikTok, just use “rape”. The term “SA” is only for niggercattle websites like TikTok or YouTube where advertisers throw a hissy fit if they see anything mildly controversial.

The word you are looking for "ravish"/"ravishing"/"ravishment".
That's where consent is coerced.

Rape or at least type out sexual assault, there are no word filters here.

It used to be the creator's barely disguised BDSM fetish, so it was sexy and exotic and, most importantly, never meant for serious examination.

They're all ESBfags too, a lot of them either grew out of it or were never really fans to begin with and only care because it's something to argue about on the internet.

I'm tired of them showing up in every single fucking thing and immediately derailing the plot to be about them, just let us have a show about a New Republic ship captain trying to keep everything from falling apart when the writing's on the wall and he knows it.

Barely disguised? Dude, it was anything but disguised. Everyone knew what the "exotic slaves" in Star Wars were for. Skimpy chicks in metal bikinis and chains. You might as well have them suspended from the ceiling while tied down, like a piñata.

I wouldn't count on it. Many of them are probably SWEU fans who like the darker shit.

I'd rather like a story where the New Republic doesn't fall, so that what we see in the OT would actually matter.

Or at least a New Republic that isn't retarded and evil. Captain Teeva is the only competent employee in the NR, a government that uses the Mind Flayer on former Imperial scientists. No wonder they defected to the First Order; the true and honest NR kept scrambling their brains.
