It actually was a nice place to discuss games, but when Trump won, it slowly got worse.

I linked the first Neogaf thread that tore Jon apart (calling him a Nazi and whatnot), but got downvoted to hell for it, with a good number of the comments sympathizing with the Gaffers and demonizing Jon.

Since then, I haven't really participated there as much as I used to.

Destiny's whole shtick is to debate /pol/ tier autists to make his fanbase think that he's some master debate. When he goes vs someone who actually knows his shit, he gets owned (see his debate with Martin Shkreli)

Honestly, it was a shitshow from both sides but a bit less from Destiny's side

I haven't seen the debate, but it sounds like Jon fucked up. If that's the case, I don't know why people are freaking out. I like Jon and I think he's a smart and funny guy, but he's still a video game reviewer. The fact I agree with certain aspects of his politics doesn't mean I think he's an intellectual juggernaut on the subject.

And anyway, Sargon messed up the debate with Kristi Winters and got owned by hbomberguy. Despite victorious crows from the SJWs that this was the "end of the anti-SJWs", Sargon lost no popularity and Trump still got elected. Just because you lose a few battles doesn't mean you lose the war.

Jon was always pretty terrible when it comes to articulating his points (and live public speaking in general)

As I said, I would be absolutely surprised if this seriously "ended his career". At most he's going to end up losing a few thousand subscribers and then just start regaining them next week. He'll probably tone down with politics though unless he genuinely doesn't give a fuck anymore

I don't understand how someone saying "Let's not have literally everybody in our country" is an offensive fascist thing to say. I mean, duh, liberal autism, but I will never understand how it gets to that point..

How do Radical Liberals, who hate America, not realize the hypocrisy in wanting everyone to live in America? And, even more than that, how do they expect to take care of more people coming into the states when we can barely keep up with citizens born in the states? Where do these idiots think the money is coming from?

Kilpeck is a pathetic cunt and anyone who listens to him is a fucking mongolid idiot. That being said, I don't think Jon gives a fuck anymore. These days people like it when you rebel against the majority of these fucks. That and the media is less popular than congress at this point.

I dunno, he's been on a political kick since inauguration - I think his mood is pretty much "screw it, may as well be open about my thoughts now". It's not like he wasn't already on the scumbag list with these people prior to now, not sure why they keep gasping at this point.

That said he has been honest about the fact that his skill isn't in political debate. Heck he wasn't even pro-Trump when it came to voting. He was fairly public about supporting Bernie, but also seemed very cold on Hillary. Just his view on the situation is "eh well I guess we have to roll with this guy".

So basically a former Burnout Democrat with libertarian leanings is now neo-nazi.

Also in the case of Klepek - never forget he agreed to be part of panel with 3 transtrenders yelling at him for being a cis white male while he groveled and tried to win big boy points to make up for his terrible transgressions

Funnily enough, I was just watching Douglas Murray's interview with Dave Rubin and he said that people have to invent Nazis nowadays because they need a bogeyman to fight and actual Nazis are in short supply.
