The committee doesn't actually need a conviction or even actual criminal charges to act, and operates at a burden lower than beyond a reasonable doubt, so facts even from a case where the offending lawyer was acquitted could be used in their investigation, but it may not happen with only a deferred adjudication on a single drug charge.

If (big if) charges get brought on his felonious breach of attorney/client privilege, then an investigation is nearly mandatory because that's directly related to his fitness.
