There is precedent for this from Nick himself. He has publicly stated in the past that he strongly *hinted* at being a swinger and leaked information to the public so he could be partially out and open about his activities.

Be he also wanted to maintain a level of deniability so that his family and relatives did not find out.

Maybe it is a bit of Duper's Delight. Similar how pedos LOVE to make jokes about how much they are pedos, but play it off like they are just joking.

I don't know how sustainable Nick's legal "analysis" was. It was enough to get him into 6 figures, but people were already talking about the clashes between the day-viewing wine aunts and the night-viewing anime coomers.
