Actually, I'm agreeing with you. I don't see being able to go to people's profiles to type "julaaaay" as something valuable or important to the culture of this website, so I see no reason people shouldn't be allowed to opt out of shitflinging by hiding their profile.

There are concerted efforts to demonetize this site and punish me for hosting it. I cannot use traditional payment processors like PayPal, Stripe, Braintree, Patreon, et cetera. Donating to the site is very convoluted but is the only way to do it. The site's operating expenses exceed $1000/mo because I have to buy far more infrastructure than a traditional website in order to handle our immense complaint volume. Traditional hosting hosting are not an option for us and I have to spend a lot to keep us alive. This is done without the benefit of any parent company or sponsor. The only reason...

Not sure I agree with not being able to look at banned users profiles(as others have expressed already) because some of them have threads of their own. Alex Hogendorp being one of them. But I do appreciate everything you have done Null. This will probably be one of the last places on the internet where you can actually speak freely when everything else goes down.

I know immediately that I'm going to be disabling/blocking user features from being seen because it's gonna be a complete mess. I trust Null and maybe the staff to feature things that are actually interesting to me outside of the places I already check a hell of a lot more than people who decided to throw you 40 bucks or whatever it'll end up being.

And honestly I also kinda disagree with profile privacy too. If you're not willing to leave your profile open you honestly shouldn't be on the site. No one should get to hide things off here, a place where the point is to cataloging everything about someone's online presence to rubberneck at. I do hope this makes money, though, a clever way to do it if it indeed does work out. I'm poor so I won't be buying for myself but it's a good thing to give, even if you're not gonna use any of the new features Mr. Sneed will spend his time creating for the paypigs. There are many good reasons to not like Trump. I don't like Trump or Elon either.

There is no good reason to froth at the mouth over every pro Trump post and posting the bullshit the reply in this thread was. It's TDS and that at least deserves the pink triangle if it's all HHH is going to post on the forum. If Null is finally looking at old posters causing problems and trying to resolve that, preventing TDS spam by an unpopular poster is a reasonable ask. If you occasionally posted TDS frothing then who cares, we all get a little spergy some times, but this is the primary post content. It's not the only old forum user who has caused problems and had to have a disclaimer put on them and eventually banned because they couldn't stop having the same internet argument in every thread they posted in.

On profile hiding, I think it's a valid option. Not because you're trying to hide from people but because it's garbage posted on them. Every profile I've checked has always been 'Nice avatar' or something similar. It's never been something worth reading and it gets annoying to get profile alerts on forums.
