Null has always been very soft on accounts older than his. HHH has been an obvious troll and very unpopular but gets away with it because of the join date. Lurking the forums you can see old posters know they can get away with trolling or derailing threads because they've been around so long and keep doing it. When Null says 5 years or older I think he's telling the truth and a lot of reports are the old protected accounts he's still protecting. If one of the legacy users joins a thread of the opposing ideology, starts upsetting the thread knowing they will get replies and the mods do nothing to step in you can expect the thread to get a lot of reports. Older users should not be treated better than new users, your join date doesn't make you a better poster and shouldn't make you immune to the forum rules.

Maybe a week old join date shouldn't be telling everyone what the site is about. Null has repeatedly said that not worshipping Republicans with every fiber of your being and not wanting to be penetrated by Donald Trump is not a bannable offense. I must stress that I don't think it is 5+ year old accounts, but almost exactly 5 year old accounts. The cultural shift and influx of users around 2020 chased away more valuable effort posters and cherished oldfags than any other point in kiwifarms history.

I don't want to do a "Not all Boomers/Zoomer/Millennials" here, but I think 2020 join dates are uniquely broad due to the industrial-scale censorship. So you had an influx of conservatives or (hopefully former) lolberts purged from twitter/reddit/faceberg, "sensible centrists" turned off by the cultural revolution, and longtime lurkers who finally joined due to increased Happenings...I signed up during nightly Floyd riots after lurking since at least the early days of Trumpenreich 1.0.

I would understand $41 a month, but why $40? Is that the magic number that would solve a lot of problems for the site? Why not a tiered perk system, like $15 a month and $40 a month?

The manual processing probably sets a higher watermark for breakeven vs. digital methods. A $5 check might not be worth opening, recording, depositing, and retaining.
