Highlights could probably be automated by automatically highlighting posts which receive a certain positive point value of stickers. If it’s a good post that should be highlighted then they tend to have a large number of positive stickers.

If it’s not desirable to have it mixed with the manual highlighting system then it could be categorized differently like “highly rated” or something. This could be better because highly rated joke posts intended just to be funny would be mixed with informative posts that are manually highlighted. It could also be better because automatically highlighting things with stickers would likely increase sticker autism and sockpuppeting.

It could also help with scanning threads for a post with some attachment you are looking for because posts with informative/funny attachments look like they usually have more positive stickers too.

I honestly would have to ask the bank but I think the answer is no because you usually have to deposit those at a WU.

I think you should emphasize this more. People are used to free sites going pay by starting with broad, cheap subscriptions, and adding whale tiers later. We're trained to chip in a tiny amount, feel super entitled by becoming paying customers, and mocking all the whales. It's one of the slick, corporate-approved ways of enshitification for any product on the road to monetization.

You're short-circuiting the nigger cattle training by aiming at the small group only (based). You have to let the plebs know they're fine being plebs; this isn't a userbase split, it's a mostly-invisible way to let them keep gossiping and shitposting for free. It would be a terrible experience to have broad, site-wide access to a perk like featuring posts, and doing tiers just gets gayer with each tier.

When this does go live, don't forget to also mention the other ways to support the site. You'll never stop people from bitching about any price, but at least let the honest supporters, the ones not concern trolling for stickers, have a reminder that they could chip in less money if they just tried.

I have to throw my hat in for $20 a month. I really think more people would be willing to add Kiwifarms Gold to their monthly entertainment budget if it's the price of going out to brunch. Other services people pay for monthly without considering it an expense (Netflix, World of Warcraft, whatever) cost around that range too. People are less likely to cut those things out of their life during hard times, which we're probably going to see a lot of in the coming years.

If you want my True & Honest feelings on subscriber perks, I doubt I would even use the Feature system. It's already very cluttered. Using it to slap a Tamers12345 video onto the front page would just get drowned out by other perk users. I'd rather add little merit badges or a background to my per post profile, or put MySpace music on my actual profile page. Retarded things that tell other users "I'm supporting a transphobic website with my McDonalds wages, I'm better than you."

Google knows who you are and tells every site running their analytics what they know about your regardless of what site it is. 40% of traffic on the site with Google account cookies was known to be female. This is also how AdSense works. You mention needing bleach near your phone, then AdSense is selling you Clorox on random websites.

10-20$ a month to get your own forum setup with up to X number of messages? seems like a deal to me.

thank fuck for that, these payment processors are so retarded with the debanking and i missed kiwi coin purchase because of it.
crypto is too much of a hassle for me mostly because i have to keep checking wallets to see what's what and making accounts to any holder is beyond stupid as my country have put them in the bag for extra taxation, they intend to release their own digital coin in order to easily steal/block funds.
