Literally 1984, worse than Reddit, yet another level of obfuscation added to the """"""""""""""""""""""free speech""""""""""""""""""""""""" website.

@Null: instead of all these minor design tweaks no one asked for, make the moderation system transparent.
Make a ban log that all users can see, with a clear reason for each ban and a link to the offending post.
Stop banning users for disagreeing with you, this isn't 4chan.

Sure, but you owe a lot to the people who finance your forum, and they've been pulling support lately due to your histrionic ban waves.
Thanks for reading.
No. The site receives an incredible amount of abuse and I'm not gamifying the ban system. Mod actions are cloak and dagger to reduce dopamine in nuisance users. Until registration costs money like something awful, I'm not playing these games.

I believe being able to vote on new :gunt: emotes:gunt: would motivate a lot of people to shill out the big bux.

There could be a rotating roster of community emotes, let's say the 10 that have the most votes from paid users. The upper limit would prevent things from getting out of hand with emotes that nobody uses clogging up the selection menu. Community emotes that have real staying power could be promoted to permanent status to free up rotating slots every once in a while.

The site would have to still store the previous rotating emotes to avoid breaking old posts, they would just become unable to be embedded in new posts.

As a person with the debuff of being born above the 49th parallel, first assuming I could send cheques south of the border at 40 USD a month that's not exactly feasible.
Especially when month to month the currency of my country is always going to fall in comparison even if I make more money.

I assume this new plan comes with a decent amount of overhead hence the high cost.

But if it were to ever half I'd be fine with supporting without getting any perks.

I would understand $41 a month, but why $40? Is that the magic number that would solve a lot of problems for the site? Why not a tiered perk system, like $15 a month and $40 a month?

Agree. I want to support Null, but at a different level.
If every regular poster sent in $5.00 a month, that would help too.
It's not going to happen that enough users are going to send in $5 a month. I might drop the price down a little but with where it's at now I'd only need a small percentage of people who use the site every single day to do it. The friction of setting up bill pay is very very large and only the most dedicated people are going to do it regardless of the price.

On the other hand, I think people should learn to take things in stride. The @Hollywood Hulk Hogan isn't a monster, he's just a guy who found it easy to get a rise out of people who are too sensitive, and I get that. If people weren't so quick to derail entire threads because one person showed up who disagrees with them, then such an example would never pose a problem from any perspective.
Disagreeing is good and healthy to discuss, but it's not discussion when it's an obvious troll using buzzwords to start fights.
I know he's in a hard place where he can't explicitly make a list of "niggers who are bickering and misbehaving" to let everyone know what the problem is because doing so would probably on attract more retards to the drama.
That's what the pink triangle is for. It tells people they're problem users and shouldn't be engaged with in good faith. HHH doesn't have one despite 90% of his post being political sperging about rightoids, Musk and his TDS.
The best solution is and always has been to ignore troublesome users and bait-posters, whether using the actual "Ignore" feature or self-control. It is what I've always tried and usually succeeded at doing. Unfortunately, in the context of the Internet people are too retarded to do that and this has been a known quantity since the very first online communities. That means either some other workaround is needed, or we just accept that a certain amount of shit-flinging and derailing is an inevitable price of relatively relaxed moderation.
You can ignore a problem but the problem derailing the thread will still happen. You have to wade through the shit to reach the other side. Some users do deserve to be moderated the same way the BP is. If the majority of your posts are political baiting you earned a pink triangle for sure.
No sense shitting up a site that has been welcoming. Most from 4chan will probably agree it was breath of fresh air having a place that doesn't auto 3 day ban us for calling someone a retarded nigger when they're acting like a retarded nigger.
4chan shit posters are keeping to the 4chan thread from what I can see. I had an account years ago and lost the log in so I've been lurking the farms since covid. Only 4chan thread looks different to normal.

Because complexity increases the complexity of the system. How, exactly, would I know if a user sending $100 wants 5 months of A or 2.5 months of B? Off an automated bank issue check? I'm programming twice as much stuff and complicating the clerks life for something few people are going to get over the main tier.

None of your banking information will be stored on the site. Your billpay id will only be visible to you. The mail guy will not be able to determine which account the check is for. Bank regulations specify checks must be stored securely and checks must be destroyed adequately.

INSANELY BASED. Fun fact: if you open a checking account in the US and never order checks, then call the bank and say "OOPS I might need a few checks anyway" they might give you checks that only have your ABA routing number and account number on them AND NOTHING ELSE. And they work too. I paid a utility bill with one.

oldfags are aging millenials who are dealing with a changing world where they're finding out that The Office (US) was never a good show and making a snarky remark to your parents at Thanksgiving and smirking to an imagined camera off in the distance is actually not a reasonable way to discuss politics. they're having a rough go with it. bless their hearts
Null hurry up and let me send you my niggerbux so I can feature this post right here because it made me laugh at work.

Wait a second. Mah boi Null has finally seen the light that is the value-for-value system pioneered by the No Agenda Show! 🙌 :woo:
