Star Wars Griefing Thread (SPOILERS) - Safety off

I don't think Darth Vader would be against rape on any moral grounds. I think he'd just be pissed someone is having "fun" right in front of him and reminding him his wang got burned off. He couldn't give less of a shit if it's out of sight.

There are many constants in our universe, I wont list them all but one of them is the following

"Disney's Star Wars is bad. If its not bad yet, it will be soon enough. Its rotten-ness is an inevitability because Disney is a blackhole of creative talent."

Thats why I never bothered with Andor despite the praises, I knew that it would get bad sooner or later just like The Mandalorian, to the point its fans will feel like suckers for having wasted time in enjoying it in the first place.

Ah yes, I might as well say that the one Star Wars villain that demonstrated being against rape wasnt Vader but Boba Fett.

In the RoTJ novellization, some of Jabba's man try to have their way with Leia (and given what she was forced to dress, it seemed like Jabba wanted this to happen) and Boba Fett intervenes by beating the hell up of those guys. Boba doesnt let her escape, he still has a job to do but he also wont let that sort of harm come to her. It does present Boba as a pragmatic bounty hunter but one that still has some level of standards.

I dont bother with Andor because I wasnt sold on the character in Rogue 1 which was already an incredibly boring movie with a forgettable cast. I also couldnt understand Cassians actor because of his accent. First impressions aren’t a meme.

Disney Star Wars fags in 2017 after The Last Jedi broke everything: "You're making a big deal over something that was made FOR CHILDREN about laserswords and space wizards"

Disney Star Wars fags now: "Having a rape scene in Star Wars is a milestone, and offers a very mature commentary about how we're all products of rape."

Which is it?! Is Star Wars for children or not?!

Which ever is more convenient at the moment because these people are about the narrative, not consistency and standards.

They live and breathe for the "Take that Chud" contrarian dopamine

By the way, I watched every episode of Andor's first season except for the finale a few years ago. I literally forgot to watch the finale, and I don't really give a shit. lol.

At the end of the day, the first season was well-made nothing. Had that and Rogue One come out as the first things Disney Star Wars made (instead of haphazardly starting a new trilogy), I'd probably be more impressed. As it stands now, the first season was too little too late, and season 2 looks like yet another giant "fuck you" to anyone who somehow still cares about Star Wars.

I don't really care about Star Wars anymore. I'm just here with the popcorn as I find amusement in this never-ending trashfire.

This is how you know that Star Wars is fucked beyond repair:

We're talking about whether Darth Vader would be against rape or not.

This is a question that is not only unnecessary to answer, but also unnecessary to ask in the first place.

They should have just made the show about Luther or whatever the head Rebels guy is called. Andor and his gaggle of retarded shitskins are boring. Or have the series be about the ISB chick and the OCD dude and make it into a sitcom. No one's watching Star Wars shit so might as well get weird with it.
The premise of temu Kyle Katarn getting a whole show, above anyone else, drove me away from the start. This character amounts to nothing.

He's really the least interesting character in the show. He barely even has any lines, the actor just stares silently. Really adds to the "illegal mexican who can't speak english" vibe. Amazing that they made two shows with a protagonist who almost never has dialogue (at least Andor shows his face).

And making the Rebels into some third world gorilla fighters is a huge mistake. It's clearly not how they were presented during Lucas era and its just boring and lame to watch some dirty brown people in jungle with AK-47s. But I'm sure it never even occurs to modern creators that this will just alienate the audience.

Andor fans are already huge faggots because they throw temper tantrums if you say you like The Empire (which most people do on some level). Then moving the goalposts over rape scenes is just the next logical step of being hysterical.
That's the target audience for Star Wars (and everything else) now. I love playing imp side on SWTOR, you can tell the writers didn't give a fuck, you can play full un-pc evil or be loyal noble imperial and it's just written to be maximum fun and give the player freedom to choose. That would be unthinkable in any SW media today.

MOVE THE FUCKING SETTING FORWARD JACKASSES
BEING STUCK IN GCW PURGATORY IS TIRING
PEOPLE JUST WANT COOL SHIT
ORIGINALS WORKED BECAUSE EMPIRE VERSUS REBELS WAS COOL SHIT
PREQUELS WORKED BECAUSE CLONES VERSUS DROIDS WAS COOL SHIT
But nothing has come out of Disney that makes people go oh wow I want to be a droideka and shoot clones or I want to be stormtrooper and shoot rebels.
Or to be a jedi or a sith.
That's all the franchise needs.
That's all the sequels needed.
A place where autists can imagine cool stuff.
But here we are stuck with more unneeded character plotlines.
This is the reality, character stories like this ruin things like Star Wars because the appeal of star wars is escaping into it, not watching a specific character's story.
People want to be their own jedi or cool bad ass in Star Wars.
Star Wars isn't great just because of Luke's story in the original episodes.
Luke's story is just a display of what is possible in the setting.
It provides inspiration and a basis for imagination.
Luke's story simply makes me want to have my own story in Star Wars, that is the appeal.
It why it copies the archetypical hero's journey.
It's why the best Star Wars games were Kotor, Battlefront, Jedi Knight etc in which you more or less are playing your own piece in the setting.
Its why the extended universe came about because people wanted to make their own part of the Star Wars universe.
It's also why Disney has completely been fumbling with the franchise because they thought the point are the stories themselves and not the framework of a universe that people can imagine about.
This is like thinking what the stories you play out with your action figures is what people care about instead of an action figure being a toy with countless possibilities for anyone.
The only purpose of these stories should be to expose dynamics of the setting for that imagination.
But instead we get Disney up their own ass trying to outwrite George's characters and stories instead of creating a nice sandbox for everyone to play in that despite everything George left intact.
To be fair I haven't bother with anything past TFA but consider these questions.
Did the sequels make you want to play as the resistance or first order?
Has Andor made you want to imagine more stories as a rebel yourself?
Has Obi wan made you want to be a jedi more?
Did Mandalorian make you want to play as a Mandalorian or something?
Has anything Disney shat out inspired your imagination?

As much as the KOTOR remake would've sucked, at least it would've opened up a new front for them to build on. The real issue here is that we're rapidly approaching a point where they will no longer be able to use the GCW because:

1. Everything is connected, so no "EU" stories can contradict any others. This was always going to bite them in the ass but now it's becoming a liability because the Empire/Rebels stories are a double stuffed oreo.

2. The era was already not very good for content because A New Hope still has to happen. There are no Jedi in the Rebel Alliance so all the stories with Ahsoka or Cal Kestis don't go anywhere, the Empire never gets weaker, or reforms so all the political drama in Andor is worthless and since Disney has made it abundantly clear that they don't want to do any stories about Imperials doing Imperial things without them defecting they simply can't use that 20 year gulf.

Yeah they really have no idea what Star wars is about.

Would love to see the commando droids redesigned so they don't look like their models were ripped straight out of filoniwars. They did this with the B1 and B2 battle droids and other CIS units developed when George was still around in several different artstyles over the decades.

But it really tickles my autism to see these walking eyesores not be given a different design in any disneywars stories out of pure laziness and no one pointing it out when they're pushing for realism. The exaggerated geometry in a game like SW outlaws or EAfront 2 is an eyesore. May as well port anime characters into star wars live action films at that point.
They didn't do those games though. They did the fallen order Jedi games which were both good. The sequel was enough of a surprise improvement to make me hopeful they knew what they were doing. Not many studios have the balls to have a white lead that doesn't get cucked. ( Of course the 3rd game could very well go to shit)

Also I liked how the droids were repurposed and painted by pirates

The old EU was able to make a shit ton of stories that took place before, during, and after the OT. The real liability is the Sequels and the fact that they make the OT and the Mandoverse pointless. At that point, only the Prequels mattered since the Jedi stay dead.

They can make shows and games in between the OT films. Dark Forces and the Rogue Squadron Trilogy, for instance, have their intro levels be tied to Episode IV, but the bulk of their content takes place after Luke blew up the Death Star. So there's room to grow.

I mean, what Rebels and other shows should've done is show the fallout of the OT films. Like say, after EPIV, rebel movements all across the galaxy find hope and start rallying under the Alliance banner, only to get their noses broken in when the Empire rallies their forces for a counterattack, which explains why the Alliance is hiding on planets like Hoth in EPV.

The fall of Echo Base and Cloud City falling into Imperial hands would be a massive propaganda win for the Empire as the people begin to think the Empire is unassailable, and at the same time, rebel movements across the galaxy are being hunted down. This causes the Rebels to pull their forces for an all-out assault that would materialize in EPVI, in the hopes that another decisive win would turn the tide against the Empire.

Then after the Emperor dies, the Alliance gets a second wave of support while the Moffs start playing Game of Thrones to determine Palpatine's successor. Their infighting kills off so much of the Imperial Army and Navy that it gives the Alliance a sure-fire chance to seize the galactic core and bring about the New Republic.

For my write-up on the first 3 episodes of Andor Season 2, I will break it down by the specific story arcs rather than by episode.

Andor's story is about him stealing an experimental TIE fighter (the TIE Avenger from the TIE Fighter video game) and transferring to another rebel, Porko. Unfortunately, another group got to the meeting spot first, killed Porko and are now holding Andor hostage as he is the only pilot. However, there is lack of trust among the Maya Pei Brigade (Maya Pei was stated to be a Neo-Republican in the last season by Saw Guerrera). Maya Pei is possibly dead, the brother of one of the rebels flew away in the only transport, and they have no supplies. They break into groups and fight each other rather than work together. Andor is able to outwit these rebels and escape the planet, which is revealed to be Yavin IV.

What I got from this arc is the problem that the decentralized rebellion faces. Andor had only just met the contact from Sienar when he stole the TIE Avenger. He was to transfer the TIE to Porko, who would then hand it over to the organization that would use it. Yavin IV was a staging place for rebels but they did not know each other. Every group is on their own. No chain of command, barely any training (the Maya Pei Brigade look very young). I presume we will start seeing a more standardized soldier as the season goes on.

Mon's daughter, Leida is getting married to Skulden's son. This marriage was the price Mon paid to ensure the Foundation was kept underneath the Empire's attention. Yet it is a forced child marriage that Mon opposes while Leida wants to go through with it, albeit with some hesitation. On top of that, her childhood friend Tay Kolma, begins to have doubts about his participation in the rebellion. He has lost considerable finances along with a dying marriage. He wants a number, a cut of the funds.

Luthen, just so happens to be at the wedding with a gift of an ancient Chandrilan artifact taken by the Rakatans. Sculden paid for that, as was often mentioned. Luthen and Mon both recognize Tay's floundering, but only Luthen knows what must be done. We end this section with Val, Mon's cousin, seeing her lover, Cinta, drive Tay a drunken Tay away from the celebration. Bear in mind that Val has not seen Cinta for some time, meaning that both were near each other during the marriage ceremony and Cinta did not even say a word to Val.

The nature of this arc is the consequence of the sacrifice to the rebellion. Mon loses her daughter to the traditions of Chandrila and her close friend has to die. Luthen can not be everywhere and was unable to communicate with Andor during the wedding, preventing any peaceful resolution to him being held hostage. It is clear that Cinta will sacrifice everything, probably including Val, to defeat the Empire. Luthen said that he had to sacrifice everything in season 1. He and his associates may be willing to do that, but not everyone has the same willpower. Yet Luthen can't allow for any slip-ups.

As a side note, I loved the depiction of Chandrila with this kind of East Asian aesthetic. An exotic vibe that makes Chandrila its own civilization, than the slightly futuristic aesthetic most human worlds get in Disney Star Wars.

Deedra participates in Space Wannsse Conference. After the failure of Ferriz, she has been taken off of investigating Axis, to finding a way to the Ghormans to leave their planet so that it can be mined for kalkite, so that it can be used to coat the Death Star's reactor lenses. The planet has some political power so that can't just deport/exterminate 800,000 Ghormans. Deedra proposes causing a rebel uprising, which intrigues Director Krennic, the head of this operation.

Syril has been doing well in the past year. Promotions and dating Deedra. The couple meticulously prepares for one of the hardest challenges of their lives; host Syril's mother for dinner. The pestering mother infuriates and belittles Syril, forcing him to step away from the meal. Deedra puts her foot down, revealing that she knows Uncle Harlo's criminal history and forcing Eedy Karn to change her behavior.

Syril is Syril. He loves Deedra but has no real idea what she does. My wish is to see what he does when he learns of what Deedra is actually doing. Deedra's story is setting up the Ghorman Massacre. Probably the most politically charged section as there are shades of government-engineered false flags, forced deportation, genocide, the banality of bureaucratic evil, and much more present in this plot. The Ghormans are depicted as a German-esque culture, but the propaganda ministers comparing them to animals gives Jewish comparisons and the talk of them being expelled for natural resource mining connects to indigenous communities being forced off their land. I can't wait to see the retarded comparisons to Trump on this one.

Bix, Brasso, Wilmon, and B2EMO are hiding out as undocumented mechanics ("toolies") on the Outer Rim agricultural planet, Mina-Rau. They await the return of Cassian but are caught in a surprise Imperial inspection of the planet. The group tries to relocate to a different settlement with forged documents but are caught before they can leave. It is unknown if the family housing them turned them in, again bringing up the lack of trust.

An Imperial officer who previously hit on Bix attempts to rape her by physically restraining her. Bix fights back and kills the officer. While she states what happened to the backup officer, all he sees is a dead Imperial and is about to open fire before he is shot by Wilmon. Andor does show up to save the group, but not before Brasso is shot. B2EMO is still on Mina-Rau as they escape to parts unknown.

While plenty of people will assume that this section is exclusively a commentary on modern US immigration (this was filmed in 2023), you can't lie and not see the parallels to other incidents, like Jews fleeing from the Nazis during the Holocaust. The other aspect of this section is the inescapable power of the Empire. Bix was mentally tortured by Dr. Gorst a year ago and now has a physical representation of the Empire attempting to rape her. They fled to the fucking Outer Rim and still can not be out of the reach of the Empire.

There are constant references to circles in these episodes, whether spoken by characters or visually depicted. Those within a circle recognize and can talk with each other, but can not do so with those outside the circle. It is both a benefit and a trap. A clear example is when Syril leaves the circular dinner table and Deedra shuts Eedy down. Syril is not aware of what happens, but Deedra and Eedy know within their circle.

I hope we see more of this in the future and whether circles expand or contract.

30 seconds into Andor and we get a gigantic ass, i didn't know Lizzo was in Andor :story:

I sometimes wonder if there's some troll, meta thing going on where it's, "sure, here's your diversity quota," and they just fill it with the most hideous people.

There's at least on some level something going on where they stack multiple "diversity" labels onto one character. Or when they decide a character will fill out a quota, the typical standards for appearance are forgotten or deliberately ignored. Or it represents some inherent belief in what represents that identity.

It's like when I was watching Peacemaker and there's an attractive plastic surgery fake boobed, thin white chick and then some hideous obese black chick with a nose ring. I'm like, "is this racist on purpose?"

@Republic Commando don't make me think about all the great sequences from Wedge's Gamble we could have got. Speeder chases through Coruscant, dogfights through a massive thunderstorm in a blacked-out Coruscant, Wedge hacking a solar reflector to take out a Golan II with a concentrated (basically) sun laser, plus stuff like raiding Kessel or getting an extended look at Imperial propaganda at the Museum, so much potential kino wasted
