I watched the whole video, and she mentioned something about her house "forbidding" her to watch certain movies growing up, and that she was "sheltered". And apparently her brother was allowed to watch anime but she was only allowed to have a "cool girl" phase.
Me thinks she comes from one of those uber conservative old christian homes that probably thought television is the work of the devil or something like that.

It's more common than you think. I remember a girl telling me shes not allowed to watch movies with swears in them, she was like 16-17 at the time. It wasn't even a religious family.

My Dad was a lot like that growing up, but my Mom let me watch whatever the hell I wanted. Difference is, I watched a lot of movies that my Dad banned growing up when I was a teenager on my own volition. Tamara's in her late 20s/early 30s, and it took Doug wanting to make some money for her to watch more movies.

In cases like these, I blame the parents and their idiotic methods of raising their offspring.

I remember watching R-rated films when I was 9 or so, and my parents didn't give a shit what I watched as long as it wasn't porn.

My extended family owned a video store back in the day, they plonked me down in front of the TV to keep me occupied, so I saw the original Robocop when I was 8 or something, and when I was 10 I saw some Japanese Ninja movie with basically a borderline porn sex scene in it. And I've never been into horror or gory movies or have a stacks of 100s of porn dvds and mags like my roomates have. Their buddies ask for a loan of the dvd collection every so often, which is weird to me. So I'm not sure if watching movies of certain types affects people, I think it depends on the person.

I'm super curious as to why she wants to be an actress if not because of watching films growing up.

Does she want to be an actress, or just a YouTuber? If she came from a strict household, I imagine it was easier for her to watch things on her computer than it was to watch movies.

Honestly? I have no clue. I know it sounded like an insult but I'm genuinely curious. Everyone i know who is into acting did so because they love film, so i was interested in an outsider's motivation. I assume she wants to be an actress but u really don't know.

Brad does a 2nd parody of Kyle Kalgreen (Brows Held High) here. It's pretty obvious since Brad uses the same kind of font choice as Kyle, uses classical music, is wearing the same kind of suit, appears in front of a book case, and threatens to block detractors (same as Kyle).

Yeah, something went down between to the two of them after they did the Tromeo and Juliet video. Not sure about the details, but apparently Kyle talked shit about him behind his back. It probably also didn't help that Kyle is literally the exact kind of person that the Cinema Snob is a parody of.

Fun Fact: Brad and Kyle actually hate each other's guts irl. If I remember correctly, Kyle thought Brad's tastes in movies were fucking trash and thought he wasn't qualified to tell what other people to watch, and consequently blocked him on twitter. Kyle unblocked Brad so they could make a crossover, then when the cross over was finished, he blocked him again. Brad actually briefly mentioned this in a video years ago and basically called Kyle a douche, but didn't use his name in the video.
Apparently, Brad got so fed up with Kyle's shit one day that he dedicated part of a private Patreon post to talking about how much of an asshole he was. I'd like to post that message but we have 2 issues.

1.Can't be bothered to support anyone on Patreon. Don't know about y'all, but I think paying bills and buying food is more important.
2.Brad more than likely deleted the post by now. I think Brad's a decent enough dude to realize that if that post got out publicly, it would ruin Kyle's youtube gig (since he just left CA at this point, and was probably trying to garner a new audience on Youtube) and poison the well sort of speak. Brad hates Kyle, but I don't think he wants to fuck with anyone's livelihood.

Thanks for the info. I can confirm, through my own limited interaction, that Kyle is a little bitch too. Would you believe that I made one comment, not even a really bad comment, and it effected one of his videos?

Good for Brad.

Damn. I've heard of thin skin before, but I think Kyle doesn't even have that.

Brad made the right choice in dumping him.
