tbh, getting rid of April this easily without a dirty divorce (partially thanks to Nick giving her not-legal-advice) is one of his bigger wins in this entire trainwreck.
Their marriage was already on the rock before and the swinging was never going to fix it in any meaningful way. In hindsight the marriage seems to have been a dumb idea for both of them.

Divorcing your wife is never a great thing, but considering the circumstances it was prudent he filed for it when he did and great that he got it through without a major asset split. April is, in my opinion, the clear loser. She has no job, no stable income, lives in a crack shack on Nick's dime, got divorced without getting much out of it. Aaron just went back to streaming his show, Nick and Kayla will never lack money ever, and April is alone and fucked over.

What I find especially odd about it all is that it was the same kind of over-emotional stupidity that got Aaron's ass shitcanned from his job in radio proper.
