The stock-standard conservative right was looking for a way to target leftwing stuff without using nazi altright terms, so they took this term "woke" and massively hyperbolized and exaggerated it into a great enemy. The best thing is, they control the specific definition, so they can declare anything they want as "woke", it doesn't even have to make sense. This style of doing things, a rhetorical battle over a nonsense word, is extremely jewish, and certainly represents the new jewish coalition within the Republican party.

Paying fifty bucks for the unstable mess I've seen seems a bit too steep, and that's ignoring the traits of the game I've mentioned above. I don't think it should be rewarded with money but that's just me. I don't care of it's part of the Bethesda experience, the experience shouldn't be concentrated suck.

I don't agree with this. Of course they agonize over where to set each game for marketing reasons. That's a huge part of what determines if the game will have mass appeal.

Bethesda have boxed themselves into a corner with their settings. They're running out of areas to set the games (on Tamriel at least) that won't alienate normies. Nobody wants to pick up a game full of furries and scalies. They'll go with the Bosmer or High Elves before they do that shit, at least in a mainline title. Standard humans are the safest bet.

The rumor that ER6 is going to be set on the borders of High Rock and Hammerfell makes sense. They can get ESG money for the Redguards, normies can still play a Breton, and both of those provinces bordering on Skyrim means they can easily justify a mini-Skyrim area with muh dragons.

I wish they would announce something insane, like a mainline game set on Akavir. But I don't think they will, not yet.

Fuck off with this shit. Fallout 4 is 30 GB, Skyrim is 12GB and the original Oblivion is 4.6 GB. There is no excuse for this amount of bloat. Compress your shit, Todd. I refuse to get games that make it their mission to take up as much space as possible for no reason.

It's 120 GB because of 4k textures and the high fidelity models to support that and ray tracing and all that shit. There's only so much you can do to "compress" stuff like that without impacting their clarity.
The original game had like 512x512 textures. The remaster probably contains like 4000x4000 textures.
I'm sure they could've done better, AAA dev producers love to cut corners on this shit, but it's not like this was ever gonna be under, generously, like 40GB.
