Here Richard was responding to someone who asked why he's attacking people on his own side.

Honestly, I think this is a non-sequitur, and also a lie. I would say it's clear Richard considers his enemy to be "the woke right." So, that's taking a side. The first part, "I'm a critic," was only correct during the period when he was mainly reviewing mainstream comics. I could say he's an incompetent movie and TV critic, but his videos about movies and TV are long, meandering affairs that mostly talk about other people's youtube channels and random nonsense. And if his statement, "I'm a critic, I don't have a side" were to be accurate, he'd spend his movie and TV videos talking about the movies and TV shows he's used as a subject not his own very strange political takes.

I wonder if this is an attempt to rebrand since I don't think he wants to be a comic creator any more.

The only problem is I don't believe anyone could fund Zack, it's just too much of a waste of money for such a little reward. He can't move the needle (just like before).

I can't see any rich perverts funding him to do that when there are so many better options. However, I could see Zack trying to build a brand that he believes (mistakenly) would appeal to those rich perverts. What I really think is that all Zack homosexual content is due to him being part of Ethan's Komical Komicsgate Krewe.

the whole "he doesn't pay his artist" thing is so retarded. why would anyone care how much, when or even if some faggot gets paid? 99% of the goods in my house are made by Chinese slave labor but I'm suppose to get up in arms about some guy willingly accepting to be paid by percentage of book sales?

Because the artist was going through a bit of a hard time financially at one point while the comic was being worked on, and Urinal Licker tried to paint it as YF taking advantage of the guy and making him work for free, when in actuality, they had agreed upon beforehand that his payment would be 40% of all sales of said comic once completed.

Yet another example of Urinal Licker going “everyone finishing their comic fast, faster and better than me is actually super evil and incompetent and bad and wrong. Now give me more money for another Kickstarter”.

then perhaps EVS should've scalped him and paid him to draw one of his many late books. The deal YF made is a relatively normal deal to make when neither party has a ton of money and it's ghoulish to see these psychopaths pretend to care about someone's struggle when everyone knows damn well they wouldn't piss on them if they were on fire.

Some thoughts for everyone to pick at:

-Ethan, Malin, etc., have a pet peeve about the amount of money past comic creators have received and don't like hearing about current (independent) creators not getting paid.

-YellowFlash has a big fucking mouth when it comes to how Ethan and co. should do things and how much they should charge.

-Pardon my gay language, but that t-shirt is cringe and not the own YF thinks it is.

-Dillard agreeing to 40% of whatever's left over from whatever deal he made from an anonymous Youtuber with anger issues and a, well, I won't repeat what Delany said, sounds like a Dillard problem.

-At the end of the day it's two groups of people taking any cheap shot they can sneak in.

It's just something for EVS and his ilk to go after YellowFlash for. They keep bringing up the guy hasn't been paid. But leave out that he's part owner. It only became a thing because I think the year before, Dillard has a plumbing leak that had him living in a trailer for a few weeks or months.

I don't know what these guys normally charge a page since a lot of the independent comics rarely seem to break $10,000. But if he would normally charge $100 or $200 a page. The comic just needs to break $30,000 or so before he does better than a page rate. Leaving out the expenses that is. So comic, shirts, poster, etc. sales. He gets a piece of it all.

Sounds like Narwhal had a similar deal with Millar. Not ownership. But in his case, he gets 100% of whatever Dark Horse divvies out to writers/artists in comic sales. Seeing as how it was hard to find at comic shops and there will probably be a second printing. Narwhal is probably pretty happy right now.

But even if Millar took a piece, I doubt EVS would be browbeating Millar over it.

If I had to guess. Something for people to cheer for. But as a whole, it's unnecessary. I wouldn't be surprised if the sales goal thing eventually goes away at some point in future sales. And just show books sold.
