Let's not pretend to ignore the fact that Christian charity has been used as a cudgel to convince the sheep to let the wolves into the flock.

The faith commands us to love our neighbor, forgive the sinner and give succor to the destitute on the highway. But such commands do not mean that we should let the neighbor take our home for himself, nor condone the sinner to live among us in sin, or having given succor to the foreigner on the highway let that foreigner go on to preach against God and his church as was his intention.

That last one reminds me very much of Ilhan Omar, who was given succor by Americans in her time of tribulation as a child, and returns their charity with scorn and unrepentant infidelity. What is the answer for such things?

It has been too easy for Christians in the modern era to view the world as safe and easy, and thus interpret their faith as also soft and easy. And not as something that not only requires personal trials, but also something that must contend with the realities of the world. A world of wolves ever present to consume the flock. When we say the church is a Shephard, it's not just for reference to bucolic pastoralism. Shepards must also fight the wolves. And kill them if necessary.

I’m irritated by the lack of due process, I do think what Trump’s doing is unconstitutional.

However I’m also so irritated by most immigrants that I don’t really care. When I lived in LA I (conventionally attractive white woman) interviewed for a job and the Asian HR lady glared at me and recited her whole migration story. I declined the job and emailed their CEO about her unprofessional behavior.

Also have you noticed these stories about children with birthright citizenship being deported the families are often a mess? Two year old citizen deported, because the illegal mom wanted the kid to come with her. The dad and his lawyer couldn’t reach them in time. Not the dad of this woman’s other kids though.

I’m just so irritated by all of these messy people and they often hate white Anericans anyway. I know I’m supposed to think ‘first they came for [group] and I’m next.’ I had an almost perfect SAT & was shut out of all the paying internships for being non PoC.
