Is it Discord Log Exporter or Discord Chat Exporter? I can only find Chat Exporter: https://github.com/Tyrrrz/DiscordChatExporter and https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/discordmate-discord-chat/ofjlibelpafmdhigfgggickpejfomamk for an extension (that seems to be a different project from the github one).

Ok, so I tried out both versions of Discord Chat Exporter (which I'm pretty sure are unrelated projects)--from github and the chrome extension. Exporting HTML files like he claims he did in his filing literally just exports an easily editable HTML file in both cases (with all the relevant chat information located at the bottom of the file). The web/extension version provides almost nothing, not even assets. The desktop version if a bit more powerful, but not by much (below is my findings of it).

It doesn't provide any log history that indicates what was exported other than a message saying "<number> of messages exported" and obviously no timestamps for the export job. There is no signature that the HTML file was exported by Discord Chat Exporter--just a raw HTML file. If there was a damning HTML file/chat, he could easily just create a new file and dump the edited contents of it indicating that its "new" and "unmodified" (among other methods). Even if he doesn't tamper with them, he could easily just select certain chats to export and omit others due to this. It doesn't provide any history of deleted messages and obviously doesn't export them for that matter. There is no actual chain of custody or security built into the exported logs.

If he was using the UI version you'd have to manually export every single thread/individual correspondence/channel with others which would take many hours if he was attempting to preserve all of his chats with Discord kittens and even if he was acting in good faith he could have easily missed correspondences. With the CLI version you could do a batch job which I seriously doubt Destiny did as something slightly programmatic like that is probably not within Destiny's ability (he can't even write basic Python code).

Its pathetic to claim that Discord Chat Exporter is a holistic log preservation method. Sounds like an attempt to obfuscate and hope tech illiterate boomers fall for the ruse.

You know what would be an easy solution? Subpoena Discord for the chat history! If he really has nothing to hide (which if he did he wouldn't have deleted anything to begin with), he'd have zero problem advocating for that and cooperating to his full ability.

(F.e. with the "well i did say i share vids with melina part": In my country, instead of admitting my client only indirectly maybe might have asked for consent (but didnt get an answer), i would basically mount a in eventualiter defense: "my client did make sure to inform her that he shares sex tapes, and if he didnt, he believed that he did". In this case, her lawyers just jump over point one to directly get to point two, even tho typically with a in eventualiter defense, the first point needs to be proven wrong first.)

But i mean he has some of the best lawyers money can buy regarding such cases, so i propably miss something. Maybe its bc of the jury aspect, as i my country in civil cases there is no jury, so you dont have to make decisions to appeal to them, as the judge cant (or at least shouldnt) consider a defense with "bad optics" negativly for the case. (The bad optics being (1) that you basically force proof out of every aspect thats being claimed and only admit to exactly as much as the opposing counsil can proof and (2) that jurys will see you saying will X didnt happen and if it did i claim Y as a defense as "Y is my defense"n while judges know that they cant consider Y as your defense if X cant be proven.)

I mean to my knowledge you cant drop criminal investigations/trials as the victim in any country (with a reasonable criminal justice system), unless the crime is a crime that can only be investigated/tried in court with the victims permission.
