He doesn’t stop drinking so he’s never actually hungover and he also has a crazy high tolerance from drinking so much. At a certain point during serious alcohol dependence you can actually die if you stop drinking cold turkey. He would likely need inpatient rehab to get sober at this point.

Most real alcoholics don't throw up after they've been drinking a while because getting the spins, being nauseous and throwing up is unpleasant. Honestly my best guess is because his liver is going, I heard that's a symptom of early liver failure.

More likely his pancreas as was already noted. He's still way too young/recently drinking to have serious liver damage ..yet. The liver is a very tough organ, it's made to filter and convert toxins all day long every day.
It takes a LOT of abuse over a good period of time to damage it beyond its ability to self-repair and cause permanent scarring and fatty nodules. Even then, if you stop drinking it can repair some of the damage.

Another decade of drinking at this level will start to fuck his liver bad but his pancreas will have packed it in by that point already. If he isn't dead he'll want to be.
