Zebra: reference to the med school adage, "when you hear hoofbeats, look for horses, not zebras." When reviewing symptoms, remember that most illnesses will be common ones, not rare ones. Of course the munchies all have the ultra-rare illnesses and have been cruelly ignored and/or misdiagnosed by all the doctors before they got to their hero doctor.
Panda: Pediatric Autoimmune Neuropsychiatric Disorders Associated with Streptococcal Infections, post-infection syndrome in children that causes behavioral symptoms. Has a cool acronym and is that best of both worlds: psych part means they need to be coddled/spoons, while biological basis means they can relapse/be cured by whatever and it's not their fault and thus they don't have to work on it.

Like her husband and her cousin. (She talks about making her husbands lunch and dinner on a regular basis, which is the kind of stuff you just don’t see munchies do because Muh spoons!)
Then again, some parts of the story doesn’t really make sense. A car crash made her unable to digest food? Got admitted to the hospital for one week to be weaned off opioids through ketamine?
Unless you’re doing some rapid detox bs, you can just wean nicely and slowly at home.
Anyways, what do you guys reckon? The real deal or just another munchie?

....isn't Lipedema that disease dependas make Facebook posts on, 'cause apparently if you get diagnosed with it you can scam tricare into paying for liposuction? (note: I'm an army brat, so I know my tricare dependa plastic surgery urban legends. Like the one claiming if you get 3 c-sections in a row, Tricare will pay for a tummy tuck).

• Aged 18 years or older;

What makes me suspicious is that she doesn’t mention any cardiac-related issues from her supposed vagus injury. She should be having huge problems regulating blood pressure and heart rhythm, but there’s no mention of that. My guess is the car accident got her hooked on opiates and she got extremely constipated, but had a really dumb doctor who diagnosed her with gastroparesis without ruling out common causes of a slow GI tract.
She’s different from other munchies, though, I agree. I didn’t immediately hate her, for example, and she wants to work.
ETA: I guess it’s possible the injury was to the distal part of the nerve, which wouldn’t really affect the heart. I’m still skeptical, though.

She has talked about heart issues in the past, I believe she has posted about needing resus a few times for her heart as well. Over all I believe her, mostly because when she does post TPN videos she kind of glazed over the TPN part (except in some videos) and actually talks about her life. And most importantly, she has stated that she and her husband decided that when she’s in the hospital he will go about life as normal and generally not visit because he doesn’t have the time. She said something like “life doesn’t stop when you go into the hospital and I go in too often for him to step away from his life every time”

Afflicted is about insane munchies but that's not what OP was talking about. It's just a documentary, there is no experiment where they trick "EMF sensitive" munchies by telling them the WiFI is off when it's really on. I liked Afflicted, it shows how it takes two people to create one munchie, they can't do it without their enablers.

Hope the munchies didn't get too comfortable when I said my attachment privileges have been revoked. Errverlord fixed it. I think it was a glitch where if you had a post with over 100 attachments drafted which, lol, sure did, it would lock you out of attaching. Have some updates on some of my gals while I rebuild that post.
The Hanson-obsessed hypochondriac who kept getting denied SSDI because she wouldn't stop going to concerts and on vacations and the second opinion doctors she got them to call into her hearings called her a faker. She tried to do some AI meme that's been going around. ChatGPT trolled the fuck out of her.
She's still one of my favorites for reasons I cannot articulate even though she's still just stagnating in her parents' house, refusing to get a job and seething that she can't prove she's as sick as she thinks she is. Her only real medical procedure in years was she got endometriosis surgery a few months ago, but she didn't beg for excessive pain meds or malinger for weeks. She just got the surgery for apparently real endometriosis and the end. The worst she did was complain about gaslighting doctors not believing it was real until the surgery proved it but I mean, in this case she was right.
I think for me it's the juxtaposition between her very real OCD not letting her seek out extreme measures like the others girls do with her claims of being totally disabled, can't work, 10/10 fatigue (unless hanson is playing within 500 miles of her home). The OCD is probably also why she lives with her parents and likely always will even though her long time boyfriend has his own place. Her primary obsession is that her parents will die and her compulsions all revolve around rituals she believes will prevent this. She was making a pretty good living when she worked in travel and could have afforded to move out if she wanted to, but instead this is when she started most of her illness faking. When she first started that she just wanted them to make her a remote worker so she could be at home, and after she quit her initial plan was to get a WFH travel position. At first I though it was a "I totally didn't quit my job because I thought I could get free money," but the more I follow her the more I think at least subconsciously this was her way to indulge her OCD. She could make money, get to do all the fun things she wanted and buy expensive clothes, but still stay home to keep her family safe.
Like I said, I like her. She's benign. She just wants disability payments so she can stay home and keep her parents from dying by touching lightswitches the correct number of times.

toothless junkie who lied about being "medically kidnapped" by CPS during the Maya Kowalski media storm, has not been having much fun medical drama to post about lately so she created some. She went into the hospital on March 19 to get IV antibiotics for a UTI and they planned for three uneventful days. The last day she was there right before discharge they discovered her cecostomy tube had become mysteriously dislodged and she now has buried bumper syndrome (A cecostomy is a tube run into your cecum, the "top" of the colon, to flush the colon out in chronic constipation by running fluid through it. The internal bumper keeping it in place in her colon has been pulled out of her colon while inflated and is now embedded in her fat).
Those who read her timelines know her tubes coming dislodged when she was in need of attention or about to be discharged was a regular feature and she confirms this exact same thing had "conveniently" happened just two weeks prior. This time she managed to create a giant abscess full of pus and literal shit. This did so much damage they had to resect the entire part of her colon the cecostomy was in, put an ileostomy in, and put a wound vac on to drain all the infected doodoo butter out of her abscess. She now knows what pain actually feels like and is being shunted off to a rehab before she's allowed to go home, and she gets to shit in a bag at age 25. Well done, Natalia!
She also put up a meal train begging food for her mom, but listing she needed food for two adults with no dietary restrictions. Lol hospital food not doing it for you, tubby? I guess the super severe gastroparesis, intestinal failure, and MCAS fuck off when there's nummy nummies to be had.
In the updates she says insurance is fighting her on rehab and saying she can just go home. Her appeal was denied because the doctor didn't understand how unique and special she is and he's from Siberia. Gonna guess she meant Serbia. They're now looking at handling it through home health but she's so weak she can't transfer or do anything so they need expensive specialty equipment at home now. Hey shamu, I know you're morbidly obese but you don't need a hoist.

Or she got $1000 cash for her charity, pocketed it, and then made up a story so she could get her followers to give her even more money and stuff. I really don't put it past this one to lie about anything since, yanno, she's lied about having cancer, being in a coma, having to get a heart transplant, told people she was in the ICU and it was really touch-and-go when she was at her parents' house, claims she can't walk and needs a standing wheelchair despite going out for a brisk walk daily...
She's been told her back will never heal. This actually is your fault Andie. The hardware infection probably wasn't your doing because it looked like the incision healed beautifully and those infections are common even in people who are not insane munchies. But it is your fault you had the hardware in the first place and it's also your fault you intentionally starved yourself so they wouldn't consider any of the surgical treatments that would be on the table if you ate protein once in a while.

It was only after she chose the one she wanted and the order was processed that she learned she could have gotten an alternating pressure mattress if she had claimed it was better for her. She has been fixated on it since, and is furious that her insurance says they won't cover one for her and even if they did they would not have one that fits her bed and she'd have to go to a standard twin hospital bed. Everyone is abusing her!!!

In the comments someone apologizes for asking about her supposed retardation and Andie goes ballistic. Reminder that the school did not think she was nearly as bad off as she claimed. She was originally put in basically leg-up one-on-one extra help for part of her day and from then on completely stopped progressing because the teachers would let her play on the sensory swing and bribed her with candy if she pretended to be retarded. By high school she was in the lowest life skills level (basically learning to recite her address in case she escaped her wranglers) and her back hunch/surgery was originally a way to get out of a job skills class that had them cleaning classrooms. Her original "I stand up to bullying" campaign and the sock charity were started after the teachers said she was capable of doing much more than she was and tried to bump her up to just-below-mainstream. It became such a media nightmare that the school backed down. By that point she had not been made to do meaningful academic work since elementary school and couldn't catch up if she wanted to so they passed her on a modified diploma and put her in the transitional program hoping one day she might be able to flip a burger. So yeah, she's stupid as hell and probably can't do math, but it's because she was lazy and manipulative.
In this one she's standing and moving around just fine to play with the puppy.

Yeah this was all to try to grift more for the mattress and her next few posts are more screeching about how she can't have it and it would change her life. People on facebook point out that she's run back-to-back e-begging campaigns. Back then she probably could have gotten her audience to pay for the wheelchair outright but she insisted on strong arming insurance into it.
Whining that her friends don't understand her illness and left her because she was never getting better. No, they left because you invariably escalate from on-paper credible claims of muscular dystrophy to claiming you are terminal from cancer. Twice that we know if, this blew up in your face after you pretended to be someone else updating your social media to tell everyone you were in a coma and needed a heart transplant.
LMAOOOO here she admits that when she was in family therapy as part of ED treatment her mom told them that Andie was just copying her sister's real anorexia and that this was part of her attention-seeking shit. Based mama proskus. Claims Sarah hasn't been in contact with the family for three months. She has consistently claimed Sarah is estranged from the family but also accuses her of being dependent on their parents, unable to drive and demanding they cart her around which is actually what Andie does. But also Sarah's an adult with a job, hobbies, friends, and a malignant shithead sister who is always around her parents and from what I understand mom is your stereotypical overbearing Jewish mom. I just see this as boundaries.

By high school she was in the lowest life skills level (basically learning to recite her address in case she escaped her wranglers) and her back hunch/surgery was originally a way to get out of a job skills class that had them cleaning classrooms. Her original "I stand up to bullying" campaign and the sock charity were started after the teachers said she was capable of doing much more than she was and tried to bump her up to just-below-mainstream. It became such a media nightmare that the school backed down. By that point she had not been made to do meaningful academic work since elementary school and couldn't catch up if she wanted to so they passed her on a modified diploma and put her in the transitional program hoping one day she might be able to flip a burger. So yeah, she's stupid as hell and probably can't do math, but it's because she was lazy and manipulative.
In this one she's standing and moving around just fine to play with the puppy.

Yeah this was all to try to grift more for the mattress and her next few posts are more screeching about how she can't have it and it would change her life. Same shit she did with the standing wheelchair during the tiktok era, and the all-terrain wheelchair she got to trial, and the adjustable bed last year. Totally fixated on it and the injustice that insurance said no.
And it worked, kind of. She managed to get the GFM over $1000 in a few days from all these posts about how she would die without this toy. People on facebook point out that she's run back-to-back e-begging campaigns. Kind of funny, during the standing wheelchair saga, when she was still close to the peak of her e-fame from faking cancer, she explicitly said she could not run a GoFundMe or similar campaign because it would mean she couldn't keep her benefits. Back then she probably could have gotten her audience to pay for the wheelchair outright but she insisted on strong arming insurance into it.
Whining that her friends don't understand her illness and left her because she was never getting better. No, they left because you invariably escalate from on-paper credible claims of muscular dystrophy to claiming you are terminal from cancer. Twice that we know if, this blew up in your face after you pretended to be someone else updating your social media to tell everyone you were in a coma and needed a heart transplant.
LMAOOOO here she admits that when she was in family therapy as part of ED treatment her mom told them that Andie was just copying her sister's real anorexia and that this was part of her attention-seeking shit. Based mama proskus. Claims Sarah hasn't been in contact with the family for three months. She has consistently claimed Sarah is estranged from the family but also accuses her of being dependent on their parents, unable to drive and demanding they cart her around which is actually what Andie does. But also Sarah's an adult with a job, hobbies, friends, and a malignant shithead sister who is always around her parents and from what I understand mom is your stereotypical overbearing Jewish mom. I just see this as boundaries.

But she's been absent from social media because of the severe ab***. Now claiming she's passing out and having seizures from a mystery condition and if she gets treated for it, the treatment would likely kill her.

She's now hospitalized and still ranting that her tard wranglers won't hire a female staff to do the hygiene tasks, now claiming they don't give her opiates constantly so she goes into withdrawal all the time. Lol.

Whoops meant to include this in the Christmas posts but it's actually a good thing I forgot because it turns out she waited until a few weeks ago to deliver the punchline. Does Kiley need an introduction? She's the one whose late mother had munchausen by proxy and colluded with her boyfriend to poison her in an insane plot to become rich and famous. Her mother's plan was to kill Kiley, then blame the boyfriend for it and position herself as the loving devoted mother who did everything possible to save her daughter's life, so that she could sell the story to the media and get a Lifetime movie deal out of it. None of that is true. Kiley is the most malignant of cluster B gutter goblins you can possibly imagine, who starved herself to the brink of death then tried to blame it on mommy, and she is still starving herself while still claiming it's gastroparesis and the long term effects of her mother's abuse. Her mother Sandy is now deceased from cancer and her ex-boyfriend Matt shot himself in the head, things she celebrated and gloated about.
A year ago, Kiley was taken under review by adult protective services and it ended hilariously. If you don't know Kiley, then just know she is completely incapable of gratitude and extremely prone to accusing people of abusing her or demanding unrealistic things from them and losing her mind when they can't do what she wants. The classic is she accused her mother of refusing to help her access food when she was too weak to get it herself, but the text messages she posted to "prove" this actually show she was demanding her mother drop everything immediately to buy the ingredients to make her fresh juice and deliver it to her house.
So the reason we know she was taken under review by APS was because it ended up part of a court case. Kiley called the adult abuse hotline to report that her APS caseworker Jason Reno had subscribed to her OnlyFans using a state-issued card and was logging in repeatedly to view the content. She also posted his name and face to her Twitter but also made and sold a video about him on her Onlyfans. So he filed a protection order against her on the grounds of sexual assault protection.
One of the attached supporting documents is her report, claiming she has online stalkers (god DAMN I hope she was talking about me.) She said she saw him log into her onlyfans and then confronted him later. He said he looked through the account as part of his investigation which makes sense. He's evaluating how vulnerable she is and he needs to know if she's cheerfully rattling her bones for coomers or being pimped, which would also be why he used his real name. No reason to hide if it was part of his job. After she started accusing him of shit, he terminated the evaluation. She goes on to talk about how her previous APS caseworker also decided he wouldn't help her and whatever she said about him, Jason agreed the behavior was inappropriate. And every painting she claims God called her to make. Like this dunkin' donuts scene she claimed was delivered to her in Lamentations. Somehow.
And some of them are really, really big.
But there's a good side? Megan has lost weight and credits God with giving her the strength to make lifestyle changes and get healthy for the first time in years. Other than Tism she's not claiming any health issues and is praising God for curing her. Fine, whatever, I'll take it.
I feel like someone who hasn't worked in ages, whose last job was as a babysitter while she lived at home with her parents and paid no bills, instead spending every dollar she had to go to Disney with her puppy, cannot understand what a relief a corporate job can be to someone who has been working shitty low pay/low hour service jobs. I spent my last few years as a contractor before one of the larger firms that contracted me offered me full time salaried with benefits. Just having steady albeit stressful work and a paycheck that hits my account on time and doesnt bounce is great. I have my bills on autopay, my fridge is full of food, and I am thriving. What's that, boss who doesn't know who I am? You need someone to fly to Cleveland tonight and be ready to present by 9am tomorrow? I'm your huckleberry.

Her healing saga from her fake health problems was because it got her a lot of positive attention from her weird culty church but then when she still insisted she has autism and seizures and needs a dog with her at all times or she will die they insisted she did not and it was just the devil convincing her she did. This has led to her current BPD meltdown where the church must be destroyed

It’s a little difficult to figure out exactly how skinny Andie Proskus is, she posts so many photos & I’m not sure of the chronology, and the perspectives are weird sometimes. But I do think she’s about 15-20 lbs, if not less, from croaking.
She’ll probably hang on for years out of pure spite despite a BMI not compatible with human life, so don’t get your hopes up, frens.
