Zebra: reference to the med school adage, "when you hear hoofbeats, look for horses, not zebras." When reviewing symptoms, remember that most illnesses will be common ones, not rare ones. Of course the munchies all have the ultra-rare illnesses and have been cruelly ignored and/or misdiagnosed by all the doctors before they got to their hero doctor.-this is a general, spoonfeedy question but can someone please enlighten me as to what it means in munchie spaces when they say zerba and panda?
Hey, FYI, but the link can take me to your personal account too.You know what sucks about this thread? You get super suspicious towards anyone who claims to be “chronically ill”.
Like this chick:
Part of me wants to believe her because she’s so damn cute and also has other stuff going on in her life besides sperging about illness and tubes. (Yup, she’s got tubes!) Like her husband and her cousin. (She talks about making her husbands lunch and dinner on a regular basis, which is the kind of stuff you just don’t see munchies do because Muh spoons!)
Then again, some parts of the story doesn’t really make sense. A car crash made her unable to digest food? Got admitted to the hospital for one week to be weaned off opioids through ketamine?
Unless you’re doing some rapid detox bs, you can just wean nicely and slowly at home.
Anyways, what do you guys reckon? The real deal or just another munchie?
....isn't Lipedema that disease dependas make Facebook posts on, 'cause apparently if you get diagnosed with it you can scam tricare into paying for liposuction? (note: I'm an army brat, so I know my tricare dependa plastic surgery urban legends. Like the one claiming if you get 3 c-sections in a row, Tricare will pay for a tummy tuck).It's a thing of beauty, and Karen Herbst is one of the ones Anna O'Brien is seeing for her magic mystery lipedema. She works with the scammy surgeon, David Amron, the one who's chopping off all her "unburnable fat" in these freakshow surgeries. Amron and Herbst seem to be running that particular sideshow.
Not really my personal account, more of a trawl-for-cows-and-cute-animals-account but TikTok is such a privacy nightmare I took it down.H

Holy sh!t, Tricare actually covers lipo?HERES YOUR TRICARE CRITERIA !!!!
Lipectomy (liposuction) may be covered for the treatment of lipedema when all of the following conditions are met:
• Clinical diagnosis of lipedema stage I, II, or III;
• Aged 18 years or older;
• BMI < 30;
• Medical record contains documented pain and tenderness in affected areas or bodily function impairment (e.g., walking, skin integrity) and the liposuction will significantly contribute to the safe and effective correction or improvement of the bodily function (e.g., reduced pain, improved walking ability);
• Symptoms unresponsive to at least six consecutive months of adherence to conservative methods such as Complete Decongestive Therapy (CDT), compression, or weight loss;
• Procedure is performed by an authorized surgeon trained in liposuction/body contouring and following published medical guidelines for safe lipoaspirate volumes based on body weight; and
What makes me suspicious is that she doesn’t mention any cardiac-related issues from her supposed vagus injury. She should be having huge problems regulating blood pressure and heart rhythm, but there’s no mention of that. My guess is the car accident got her hooked on opiates and she got extremely constipated, but had a really dumb doctor who diagnosed her with gastroparesis without ruling out common causes of a slow GI tract.You know what sucks about this thread? She has talked about heart issues in the past, I believe she has posted about needing resus a few times for her heart as well. Over all I believe her, mostly because when she does post TPN videos she kind of glazed over the TPN part (except in some videos) and actually talks about her life. And most importantly, she has stated that she and her husband decided that when she’s in the hospital he will go about life as normal and generally not visit because he doesn’t have the time. She said something like “life doesn’t stop when you go into the hospital and I go in too often for him to step away from his life every time”What makes me suspicious is that she doesn’t mention any cardiac-related issues from her supposed vagus injury. She’s different from other munchies, though, I agree. I didn’t immediately hate her, for example, and she wants to work.
ETA: I guess it’s possible the injury was to the distal part of the nerve, which wouldn’t really affect the heart. I’m still skeptical, though.

Unfortunately I think the boob job thing, is just in fact that- an urban legend. Unless of course you want to go out and get a hot case of titty cancer, than that is a totallyHoly sh!t, Tricare actually covers lipo?

Sorry if this was already answered but it’s Afflicted on NetflixDo you remember the name of the show? I love stuff like this.
Good news, you can send an old fashion checks, or money orders, in the mail to Josh’s PO Box now, everything that is old is new again!I am too old and stupid to figure out how to donate for T&H status, so here is my stolen valour screenshot Semper Fi for that post. It was a really enjoyable read, thanks!

Afflicted is about insane munchies but that's not what OP was talking about. It's just a documentary, there is no experiment where they trick "EMF sensitive" munchies by telling them the WiFI is off when it's really on. I liked Afflicted, it shows how it takes two people to create one munchie, they can't do it without their enablers.Sorry if this was already answered but it’s Afflicted on Netflix
It's a cunting peaceable kingdom!
